Are you going to name Silver notSilveratall? Or are you unoriginal and going to leave him at default?

...I'm unoriginal. In both HeartGold and SoulSilver, I'll leave him at default.

I'll name him Joe, and my main character will be Bob, as usual.

Since Silver isn't a name even though it's his default one I'll call him Steve.

I'll name him Silver in one, and something more clever in the other. I can't be too unoriginal.

In the first generation games I always named Blue after someone I hated, but I think I'll use "Mittens" here. I nevar had Gold, Silver, or Crystal.

I named my rival "Toast" Platinum, and I'm thinking of doing the same thing for Heart Gold. I can't remember what my rival's name is in Pearl...or Diamond for that matter, so I'll have to go check.

Actually, I think that I'll name my rival after whatever my friend names their character, just for the hell of it. Or just something ridiculous...

he reminds me so much of Paul, that's what I named him. strangely, I did not remember him at all from playing the orginal Silver (and I think I would remember an arrogant trainer like that?)...

I have always (since Red/Blue) named my rival after a friend of mine named Edwin who went to middle school with me and we used to both play pokemon...cept when the rival's a girl

My brother called his rival Banana. I remember in silver I didn't know what rival meant 'cuz I was five so when it said "Rival's Name?" I called him Rival.

I usually name my rival Ethan but since they made the protagonist's name Ethan, I decided to name my rival Darren, after a guy from a story I'm writing.

I couldn't think of of name so I left it up to my bro. The next time I saw my rival at the top of Sprout Tower, I was like "????, you named him Joseph" I got used to it actually is a cool name.
