Because apparently the old one got trashed forever ago.
Whatever the arrow is currently pointing to is the single item you have to fight off the zombie apocalypse.
At the moment, it's a half-full bag of popcorn. I guess I could bait them into a ditch or something...

What if it's one of those universal remotes that can control anything? Press the pause button and they'll stop dead in their tracks, press rewind and they'll go back to before they were infected, fast-forward and they'll decompose rapidly until they can't move anymore.
