Pokemon Daydream White and Nightmare Black

Story-

The story takes place in the region of Shinto, a region directly north of Johto. You play as either Nathan or Danica, two trainers from Jade Village. After deciding on starting your journey, the villainous Team Hypnos spreads terror throughout all of Shinto, leaving people in either daydreaming constantly without being able to regain consciousness and leaving people in a state of hypnosis with horrible dreams plaguing them. Their motives are unknown, but you must stop them before the whole region is put to sleep!

  • New protagonists: Nathan and Danica!
  • New region to explore, Shinto!
  • Gen IV and V Pokemon!
  • The game is a challenging one, be the first to beat it when it is released and you will get a prize!

To be honest, we've picked up all the mappers we need

@MFMEIJER These aren't my tiles, they are a combination of other peoples tiles, who's names I've posted in the credits.

@UmbreonPwnr Scripting just involves writing lines of code so events can trigger in the game.

We're probably at about 5% done right now, I'm aiming for 20% by at least October though.

The tile art is awesome. Did I say that before?
My only gripe is the "W" on the doors and the "S" on the signs.
It's a little unneeded. I could compose, but I may be a little illiterate due to
a lack of musical theory knowledge. I also happen to be good at pixel art; it
could take time though for me to get used to the new software required
specifically for Pokemon hacking.

That's only there because the map is shown in AdvanceMap. You won't see them ingame. (You won't see the red square around the Bill lookalike either)

You won't need Pokemon hacking-specific software to compose or sprite, you could do these things with any program. And yeah, zsaberslash is right. That screenshot was taken straight out of A-Map, that's why the S's and W's are there.

Also, a quick update guys, a here is screenshot of the second town. The waterfall will be fixed, don't worry too much about that.

Production is kind of slow right now, but we're going to pick up the pace really soon . Stay tuned for more updates!

Heh, I wonder why nobody else thought about using the Shinto region in their hack.
Are the Shinto ruins going to be in this hack?

I think you have Sinjoh confused with Shinto haha, but you are semi-right I guess. Shinto was discovered by settlers from Sinnoh.

Anyways guys, my friend and I are completely redoing the project since my team started to fail, so I'll post some map pics soon.

UPDATE! Here are some map shots from the new Daydream White version. We are done with mapping the beta, all we need are scripts now! We decided to use the default Fire Red tiles until we finish with all the maps, and then we will add some new tiles.

Oh, yeah. I use Anvil Studio to compose tunes and then export them into the game I'm hacking in its native format.
You don't get the slightest broken tempo problems with what you use, do you? :X

I learn something new every day XD. Did not know that, oh well, at least the name fits with the region

By the way guys, the beta is basically finished being mapped, we just have to do the indoor maps and have the scripts done and the beta will be ready to go. Look forward to the beta release maybe mid or late November
