PokéNews → 14th Pokémon Movies' Dub Titles Revealed

The titles for the dubbed versions of the 14th Pokémon movies have been revealed via Pokemon.com to be Pokémon The Movie:White-Victini and Zekrom, and Pokémon The Movie:Black-Victini and Reshiram. This marks the first time since the first Pokémon movie that a dub title included "The Movie" in it's title. This comes a somewhat of a surprise, as the Japanese Official Website for both movies is still accessible, with their original theatrical premiere being on July 16th, and thus indicates how early this announcement is, compared to announcements in the past. Furthermore, as per a collaborative effort by both The Pokémon Company and Cinedigm Digital Cinema, both movies will have a single-weekend run in over 300 cinemas in U.S.A, on December 3rd, and December 4th. The trailers for both movies will be made available on Pokemon.com this upcoming weekend, September 17th and 18th, following a screening of Zoroark:Master of Illusions. While the actual theatres to host this event are as of yet unknown, CineDigm's page on the subject notes that a full list will be made available "soon".

These movies are going to get shown in over 300 cinemas in the USA? Damn, why don't these things ever happen to us over here? ._.

Anyway, I don't seem to remember the general opinion about these two movies. I would be grateful if someone could quickly review them over here...

Wow, definitely a short wait from the Japanese release. And wow, they will actually be in some theaters this time? Nice, maybe I can actually see them at one now.

I will be watching both so that I don't miss anything. I just hope they are good enough to be watched.

That's nice. The year I move from the U.S. is the year that Pokemon movies air in theaters.

Life is so hard. ;~;

Nice!
I can't really say I'll be that persuaded to go watch them in theaters, but I'll try to catch 'em once they air on television or release on DVD. Which will definitely be a long while from now, but I can wait.

No, both movies differ by means of "version exclusives", similar to the games. For example, in one movie, Golurk is Shiny and Hydreigon is normal-coloured, and in the other Golurk is the regular one, where as Hydreigon is Shiny. Whether either Reshiram or Zekrom are the antagonist's partner in the movie also varies between them. There are more differences that that, but they'll probably become clear when/if you see both for yourself.

Have you ever heard of double the profit by tricking kids with such fantasy? I think that's what they are doing.

The two movies are not exactly identical, or at least that's what most websites are saying.

I just think it will be the same plot, and maybe different happenings, but still same problem same solution...

An if the coloring is all thats going to be different then why bother spending the money on 2 movies... In a way they HAVE to differ

I should go see it for lulz, maybe drag my mom with me. Then afterwards we can compare to literally every other Pokemon movie how repetitive it is. *Points to Victini in trailer struggling with CGI effects and close up of screaming*

Reshiram <3
