There's been a lot of debate over remakes of RS and this is the thread where you can put down speculation of the game or just a wishlist.

Here's some of my own wishes.

Emerald Battle Frontier
Gym Leader rematches.
Change in gym leader teams to be more Gen III based.
After you beat Steven the first time he'll be in Meteor Falls and Wallace will be the new champion while Juan will be in Sootoplis ready for a rematch.
Wally gets the starter you and Brendan/May didn't chose.
More rival battles, we deserve to see the final form of our rivals starter!

Note: This thread is for what we want and speculation, don't start any flamewars about when the game will come out or if it will at all.

I would want to see these:
1.Pokémon following you
2. BW similar battle simulation
3. Some Unova pokémon in the Hoenn dex
4. You can get Reggigigas in the after game after catching the Regi trio
5.An in-game Jirachi and Deoxys event
6.Pokémon musicals instead of contests
7.Like Emerald,you can battle Steven in the aftergame
8.You can get both Kyogre and Groudon in both the games regardless of which version you have (Like HG/SS)
9. You support team aqua in the ruby version and you support team magma in the sapphire version
10. Some triple battles
11. Dialga,Palkia,and Giratina in the aftergame
12. 3DS enhanchments
13. AR cards for Kyogre and Groudon as preorder bonuses and when you have both of them in the 3DS camera they battle eachother
14. Rayquaza AR card if you pre order both
15. May doesn't get replaced
16. the games are for 3DS only
17. You get to battle Gold in the aftergame with a Red-like team

17. You can get the Hoenn starters in HG/SS

Those aren't really hints. Those are just giving old players nostalgia.

Also I hardly thing red and blue has to do with anything.

Really the hint don't mean anything since nearly all the ones they had for HGSS meant nothing.

I hope they don't make any more generations because it has gone long enough. I think they'll release the games next year (2012) because they released HGSS on the tenth anniversary of Gold and Silver. Ruby an Sapphire came out in 2002 in Japan, so I think they'll do the same with these remakes. It'lle just like FRLG when they were released after the release of the first two games of he generation.

Am I the only one hoping that all this while, GameFreak has been intending remaking entire Generations and not just version couples?

FRLG and RSE are all games that were made in Gen 3. If what I said above was true, could we be looking at remakes of both RSE and FRLG? I know FRLG are already remakes, but nevertheless, they are still Gen 3 games.

Looking at the current generation, I'm honestly thinking a FRLG remake is possible, as there is little connection between Unova and Kanto (Gen 1 Pokemon being difficult to get and all). Furthermore, Kanto has been an accessible region in every other Generation so far, I'm sure Game Freak would want to keep this tradition alive.

While 4 remakes (R, S, Fr, Lg) might pushing it a little bit, I think one Hoenn remake and one Kanto remake is quite plausible. Emerald and Yellow remake anyone?

You guys aren't paying attention to the rules I made for this thread.

This thread is just post your ideas or possibilities of a remake of Ruby and Sapphire not over whether they will happen or I'm gonna have to hand out infractions.

it would be awsome to see what kinds of upgraded graphics they would bring to the remakes if they do deside to remake them. Plus i would like to see what kinds of areas would be new. maybe mirage island will be visiable more often.

I would just be happy with a port with updated graphics... My RS copies no longer save and I don't know if I'll ever get around to replacing the batteries...

RS should still save your game without the battery? My emerald did but the time just stoped. Anyways I like to see that cloneing glitch that was in emerald return for these games.

Positive Side

I'd like to see...
-Pokemon following you
-Regigigas after getting Regi trio
-More Wi-Fi events than B & W
-Battle Frontier is there, but it's completely abandoned because the budget was low (referencing how it was removed). You can still be challenged by it and there are wild Pokémon there.
-It's for All DS models including 3DS (no-one wants to buy a new console just to buy a new game.


Negative Side

It's not gonna happen. Nintendo haven't made any plans or announced it, and they also said they were done with the 5th generation, personally I believe they shouldn't break the cycle.

I think this game will have, along with everything I said in my previous post:

- A new place to evolve Nosepass/Magneton (only accessible post-national dex)
- Separate contest buildings like in R/S
- No Gen V Pokemon post-national dex (except in the battle frontier)

I also think it's much more likely now for it to come out for the 3DS after the major price drop.

it would be cool to see those very high level pokemon in the skytower again. I think they were around the levels of 50's-60's in ruby and sapphire, and emerald had them in the 30's-40's <--which sucks for emerald.

They did not say that they were done with gen V that was a poor translation they evens aid it themselves that they never said they weren't.

i would love to see bw battle graphics and use the 3d ont the 3dslike make important events into 3d videos like when u battle maxie or the elite four and when u meet legendaries that way its completly compatible with the other games and still use the 3d capabilities and remach everybody and them level up and maybe even travel to sinnoh and collect their badges be able to catch dialga or palkia depending on the game and actually have wally and may play a bigger role in the game make the gym leaders difficult and actually have them participate in thegame against the villan instead of leaving it up to u bring back pokemon contests and the battle tents and have the pokemon conteste in diferent cities also customizable avatars so its more of u just off the top of my head

I'm looking forward to taller, more-realistic sprites for the GL's and E4.

I hope you can find Audino in the games so you can brush up on levels and I hope rustling grass and wild double battles return in these games.

@Plusleplusminun (Or however you spell it) Audino would probably not be in the game until after the E4 is beaten, and you unlock the national dex. Just like in most other games

Am I the only one who doesn't want 3D battling in the main series games? I like me some classic 2D Pokemon battles, thank you very much!

If these games are really going to be made, then better for GameFreak to hurry up before I completely lose my interest in Pokémon.

My current wishlist is:
-The game can be played with both 3DS and NDS.
-All 3D graphics and battle stimulation that were introduced in BW are kept.
-Changing of seasons and day/night.
-Pokémon follow you around.
-Focusing on Gen III Pokémon the most.
-An intense story line like the one in BW, making the competition between Aqua and Magma more thrilling.
-More challenging battles.
-An interesting Battle Frontier and a land to explore after the game.
-To be able to get all of Hoenn's legends and create a good plot for each one of them.

For some reason I get the feeling they;ll add a few islands to explore in the aftergame like thay did in FRLG

Well I was hoping for the remakes. More trade pokemon. We barely had any in R/S and maybe combine the main characters clothing from both R/S and E. I mean like Combine Brendans clothing from both games into one whole.

-the rival at least being a challenge
-slightly altered gyms and elite 4
-more in game trades
-NO musical
-contests/battle tents return
-Groudon, kyogre, and rayquaza are all catchable
-regigigas is catchable
-(i don't know if this was explained or not but...) explain all that cryptic **** with unlocking the regis!
-gym rematches
-animated poke sprites (duh...)
-Mach and acro bike are still in it (even though I can't see how they can't include them)
-also maybe a "red like" battle somewhere along with steven (if he isn't already the champion)
and thats just about all I can think of right now about what I want to see in a R/S remake. MAKE IT HAPPEN GAME FREAK!

I like the idea for a R/S remake of actually choosing the team you want to support. Make it a little more RPG related in that your choices affect gameplay but you still catch the feature legendary (Groudon for Ruby, Kyogre for Sapphire).

In that way, you not only control what kind of battles you'd prefer (water or fire battles) but also how the dialog develops (you aren't the "bad" guy necessarily but it'd be interesting to see how others view you as you travel across the region).

Just an idea I thought of.

RS had a good story (Whatever people thought it's my opinion) In a sense, since Gen 1 and 2 got remakes. Gen 3 should get one too.

Well this is not really the case itself, Gen 1 and 2 were needed as there was no way to bring Pokémon from those games to the now current ones. However, Gen 3 doesn't need one for that reason. another reason could be ease of access for the players. I don't think you want to get Gen 3 'mons and transfer them to 4 than 5 it's too much hassle in my opinion. (actually I don't know if Gen 3 'mons can be transferred directly to B/W)

i think that we need to just remake the games in the new black and white graphics. i also think like a few others in this thread that we need to be able to catch regigigas after catching the other regis, and being able to catch Groudon/Kyogre in both games. the trainers in the game also need a major roster change like what they did with the trainers roster in platinum.

Not trying to encourage anything this is just my prediction of Pokemon's 4 year plan.


Next year in 2014 they will put emphasis on Gold and Silver and reveal the Mega forms of the Johto Starters and maybe have another Pokemon The Origin Special but Gold and Silver instead. Part 1 would be about Ethan and Silver's introduction. Part 2 would focus on the Burned Tower. Part 3 on the Lake of Rage or Radio Tower Take Over. Part 4 would probably feature a mega of Johto legendary or Gold battling Red. They'll have events for Johto legendaries, maybe even something simular the Naval Rock event since it would be unfair for XY to cut out the Johto legendaries

2015 would have focus Hoenn and then Ruby and Sapphire Remakes will be revealed along with Mega Swampert and Mega Sceptile and some random Hoenn Legendary Mega. Who knows maybe RSRemakes will feature more new mega pokemon.

2016 will have focus on Sinnoh and reveal the mega forms for Sinnoh Starters, maybe Pokemon Z will have a stronger emphasis on Sinnoh pokemon along with extra references to Platinum. Sinnoh already had a sort of French style to it in my opinion so I'm not sure how much they could change. Of course I can imagine Sinnoh legendaries will be catchable in Pokemon Z regardless because of the supposed two game gap pattern for legendaries they've started.

Early 2017 before Generation 7 is revealed they'll have a small scale emphasis on Unova and the starter mega forms and maybe some mega form for an Unova legendary, personally kind of hoping they don't stuff all the Sinnoh and Unova Legendaries into one game. In the same year the Kalos starters could finally get there own Mega forms exclusive to Pokemon Z.

OR in 2017 Masuda will pull something out of left field, the hidden event legendary messenger squirrel pokemon is revealed as the mascot for a sequel to XYZ which will feature Yggdrasil as an opnipetent tree/location or the final event legendary which could be the secondary mascot. It will feature Unova Legendaries and the Mega Evolution of Unova Pokemon. I can imagine if this is the final game it could have a place like the Shinjo ruins to connect the myths of both regions to allow access to an Unova legendary maybe this game would have access to Unova since it's hinted that the regions are closely related.


And yes my personal life does have a four year plan just as detailed as this one.

3d ruby and sapphire ermehgerd it would be so great also they should make new games in old regions like a new adventure in Kanto

Yeah, I think there would have been a more direct reference to Hoenn if they were gonna do that, like maybe have the speaker be a gym leader or an elite four member.

I hope it happens. You know what, when this happens, they should buff Shell/Battle Armor. I think it would be awesome if it becomes an activated ability as well as blocking crits. When afflicted by a status or mental state, it's defenses are boosted. Armor, right? Too op? I think Assault Vest Drapion would love a buff like that. Armaldo, too.

Also, rebattling Gym Leaders for EXP should be in it, just like Emerald.

I have a strange feeling that we will have said remakes, its just a matter of time of when they make them. Cause they remade older games already so 3rd gen is next. (1st gen-Remade for GBA, 2nd gen-remade For DS, 3rd gen-Should be remade for 3ds) I see a patteren here.

So apparently contest data is completely gone in XY, if you transfer over a Feebas with Max Beauty and level it up in XY it won't evolve like in BW.
