So what do you label any drives after that? AA:\?

Upon adding a 27th drive, Windows fails to assign it a letter. A drive must be removed for it to work.

And yet you'll still complain about not having enough free space to save stuff.

...That's weird. I like the Linux approach a bit more (using GUIDs, that is)

Meanwhile, send me a drive or two. My paltry 512GB isn't enough anymore (I used to have just 80GBs...)!

Some of those you didn't even need to plug in. Is this just something to say that you had 26 ports for you to plug random **** into?

Thank you for reminding me I can set my drive icon, Cat.

EDIT: Also I feel sorry for you. GTA IV for the PC was extremely disappointing. It was fun, but there were just too many bugs

Plus it takes up too much space.

Mostly. It's a desktop, so many of the drives were already in it. I decided to see if I could fill the alphabet.

No problem. As for GTA IV, I play it in bursts of an hour or two. Pretty fun in my opinion.

And it seems like I broke my G drive icon ^_^''

Autorun.inf is dumb. They probably disabled it by now for all I know.

No, it still works. That's how I got the icons on those flash drives and is still the preferred method of setting drive icons on removable media. Here, let me provide mine:

Code:
[AutoRun]
icon=zoroark.ico

This is neat. I imagine this looked like quite a mess on your desk once everything was plugged in?

Excellent. I'm curious to see how this all looks.

I barely have anything on my desk, and it feels cluttered to me, haha.

I love seeing the 5.25 inch floppy and Blu-ray drive in the same system.

Got it

Too bad windows had to dowgrade the quality a bit. I guess 64x64 is a bit too big.

D and E are physical, F is virtual

48×48 is the standard size on Windows Vista/7 (32×32 on small icons desktop, 16×16 for details).

It's pretty annoying that you have to restart your computer to update a physical drive's icon, though.

Only for internal drives, but usually a logout should be all you need for that.

With a bit of calculation, I've discovered that you have 5.8TB in total with that, which happens to be less than Tech and his Behemoth.

Yes, but I doubt tech has even 1% of his 9001 TB since he seems to have only built that cmputer for the geek points.

Jesus christ is that how your computer looks?! I too have filled up all the drive letters, but it was my decision to assign virtual drives to all the unused letters, in the mindset that they're "lying around available" and could be put to better use. Alcohol 120%'s virtual drives now take up that space. I used to have game images on them. Z is reserved for my USB stick. 2 of the drives are "free space" on my FTP cause I had no other way to limit folder space usage. The folders are direct access to my virtual machines, when they're running. Then you see the FTP drives again with their network links. Why? Because I've refused myself any way of accessing them directly. Yes I have 4 harddrives and 4 drives from my card reader.

I should do this too, but mounting everything, assigning awesome GUIDs, screencapping, transfering the image to my phone, and posting would take like, an hour. An hour I'd rather spend laying in bed with my kitty listening to K.K. Slider.

I did count all of my drives a few days ago, having acquired THE LAST OF MY CONFISCATED GEAR and a plethora of disused gear from friends and family, and I currently have in total, one hundred and three drives, both in- and ex-, including flash drives and SD cards, totaling approximately thirty-five Tera.

Screw alphanumerical listings, I should start assigning Pokémon names to them all.

You are an unholy human being and you deserve to be annihilated by the very machines you hoped to create and use to thrive.

We call it the Iconoclast. o3o

And that's nothing. I have like, twelve obsolete video cards that were top of the line years ago, four empty cases, six dead laptops, two netbooks, wireless cards, DVD/CD-R drives, floppy drives... But strangely, no sound cards. O.o

Because sound cards are generally a waste of money, no matter how you look at it.
