According to Serebii, In the newest Famitsu magazine, an interview with the head of The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, has revealed that there are more games in the works beyond Pokémon Rumble Blast this year. In the interview, he stated that there are plans for games which surprise the players in the near future. He stated that they also intend to continue support for the Nintendo DS while pushing forward with support with the Nintendo 3DS. Full details about the games were not confirmed.

So tell me guys, what do you think this new game will be?

If I had to guess, I'd say a pokemon game like gale of darkness for the 3DS, only you can capture wild pokemon in tall grass. SO in other words, a fully 3D pokemon game for the 3DS. The Pokedex 3D hints at them doing something like that.

I agreee. They said that it had compatibility with the DS family, so it possibly could be a new pMD game and they would do what they did with the first 2. An XD sequel would be cool,especially since I haven't played the first one yet. Do ya think in the XD sequel you can catch a lot of sinnoh pokémon like you could with Johto in the previous game?

Well. Rumble was on the wii but Rumble Blast is for the 3DS, so they could do the same with an XD sequel. They mentioned that they they are still giving the DS support, so maybe a PMD sequel with a DS version AND a 3DS version like the first game(s)? I'd like to see that, and in 3D render.

If this game comes out for the Wii then that would suck because I don't own one.

The wii isn't that good anyway

It's much less of an inidvidual gaming type of system so it's kinda hard to play games on there with the controlers and stuff

I think it will either be a PMD game if released next year or Ruby/Sapphire remakes if released 2 years from now.

No they can't possibly be releasing the next main series game in 2 year. Next year is the 10 year anniversary of RSE, so they might a well remake them for next year.

I confess I never played XD Gale of Darkness so this would be my first XD game.

Its Great!

I really hope it's a Colosseum or XD remake or sequel. Those were the some of the best Pokemon games I played, and the storyline was great.
If it's not that, then I'm hoping for RSE remakes. <3

Honestly, I don't think any of these are surprising, and I'm not so sure he's just tooting his own horn when he uses that word. A new game in the Colosseum series? Maybe. What I think they might be doing is a slew of Pokémon N64 games being remade for the 3DS. Snap, Stadium, and I don't know, Puzzle League, or something. All in one cartridge, since none of them are very full games alone. Certainly not worth $40 each. I think something along the lines of that or something totally new is most likely what they're doing.
