Ash throws himself right in the middle of the crossfire and gets critically injured / gets killed then revived. (Mewtwo Movie, Lucario Movie, Manaphy Movie and others I forgot.)



Selfless action either: 

a) Ends the fighting between evil and legendary. 

b) Promotes another selfless act from the legendary Pokemon.



If a) Evil force gets destroyed / overcome and everyone is happy. (Every movie)



If b) Legendary Pokemon either: Dies/Goes close to death to resolve conflict (Lucario Movie, Lati@s movie, Giratina Movie and others I forgot) After sacrifice, see "If a)"
