I will say it is pretty fun but would be better if you could battle anybody you chose who to play against.

I think it's OK. I'd like it if it didn't lag so much on me, but it's most likely just my computer. Collecting real life cards is much more fun though, but I still think TCG Online is fun too.

I like it a lot! A lot less hassle than Redshark. After 11 booster codes and three deck codes, my collection statistics are:

Percent Complete: 30
Different cards owned: 195
Total cards owned: 458
Set nearest to completion: BLW (79/115)
Complete Sets: 0
Most of 1 card: Energy Search (9)
Foils: 39

I just wish that I could import all of the cards that I have amassed over the years. I've stopped collecting them and I don't want to buy any more.

I think it's fun despite the fact you can only play against CPUs for now. I don't know much people who play the TCG, and my deck needs a little work. 030

Buying a specially marked Black and White Booster and redeeming the code within will allow access to the closed beta of the PvP version.

Ooh, closed beta?

Anyway, I fooled around with it a month back and found it quite fun to play, but I was a bit bogged down by homework. When I get home from my vacation, I'll give it a shot again. I do like the fact that you get to play with cards without forking out real money, which, for me, is really good. I collect the cards, and it would be a bit expensive for me to make an actual deck of them, and I don't want to remove any from my collection box/binder.

I think it is. You do start with a basic deck and have to build from there, yes.

Thats cool, someday i'll try it. I wounder if you buy booster packs (in real life) if you get a code or something for the game itself?

Only specially marked Black & White expansion booster packs and decks, at the moment. Keep in mind that while all decks come with a code, not all boosters do. You'll have better luck finding code boosters at local hobby shops than at major national chains, which I find quite odd, but I don't complain as all my card purchases come at my local hobby shop.

Nah I'll just stick with buying yugioh cards as its cheaper to stick with one card game and one type of video game. (I rarly by yugioh games i only got 1) But i might play the online version though of the pokemon tcg as its free.

I decided to take a peek at the terms and found a little disappointment:

Quote:
BECAUSE THIS IS A “BETA” OR TEST VERSION OF TCGO, ANY ITEMS (E.G. BOOSTER PACKS) THAT YOU MAY EARN THROUGH PARTICIPATING IN A TEST TOURNAMENT OR OTHER GAME PLAY DURING THE TEST PERIOD ARE FOR THE TEST PERIOD ONLY AND MAY NOT BE REDEEMED OR CARRIED OVER AFTER THE END OF THIS TEST PERIOD ON AUGUST 16, 2011. ANY ITEMS IN YOUR TEST ACCOUNT ON AUGUST 16, 2011 MAY BE DELETED.
In short: your account may be cleared out next month.

I don't really do trading card games because they have the stupidest rules. You have to do this, need that, gotta use that, I have to get rid of that to use that. I just stick to collecting cards and checking if their are fake in life rather than following instrustions in a computer line. I don't like to take instrustions from a computer.A person (such as users) are things I'd rather follow

Edit: why did they make this again? Oh and hey Cat

I've been playing the Oline TCG for awhile now, I think it's pretty cool so far, it'll get much better in the future though. Haha

Ive played this, its kinda cool to play this game fresh where you play with some of the new rules they have. (Witch i dont know any of newer rules but that confusion does 30 damge instead of 20, when you flip a tails when you try to attack while confused)

I've never tried this game before, but what I've heard so far, it sounds pretty fun. It'd be great if you could play Online TCG with friends, though. That's what I thought when I heard the "Online" of this title.
CPUs are fine, too, though; I think they'll work. I'm going to try to play it later today.

I love the online TCG! I re-learned the rules of the game, I know how to build a good IRL deck, and nobody I know IRL actually plays the TCG so this is a way I can play it :3

I dont really like it. Mainly because it takes away from the fun of actually opening the card packs.

You obviously haven't gotten any booster codes.

I scanned in a bunch of codes and bought some booster packs, one of which containing Reshiram. :3 It seems to function a lot like the real card game. You might get lucky with good cards, or you might not. I also got a nice error.

I haven't played it, but I've seen my friend play it many times. It's so slow and full of bugs (must've been programmed by Freeze), but other than that, it's a good way for people to engage in the TCG without having to travel distances to meet up with other TCG fans or have friends that are also into the TCG.

I like the idea that they came up with the TCG online, but I don't like it all the way. Kinda laggy. I use *********. It's better in my view, but you do have to do things yourself, because in it cards are more like images and you have to do the actions yourself. It's not laggy at all for me though. I use it to battle with friends, finding a room for pokemon isn't that easy since it's for all card games, though.

The new downloadable one is quite buggy in comparison to the old one. Let's hope they get that ironed out.

I tried the Online TCG a few weeks ago, and I remember it being quite slow, but they might've made it faster with the newer version. I also remember losing twice in the tutorial. >_>

The online TCG... I used to play this with SP awhile back. I never got any good cards. Like Reun said, it's very slow. I've haven't played in awhile, so it might be better now.

I hope that I can get back into the TGC with the online game. I quit back when Generation 4 was new because everybody I knew doesn't play it anymore.
