Basically like the SMWC thread. What's the game(s) that you regret ever buying?
I'll just copy/paste my post from the SMWC thread then.

I'll probably also never pick up Need for Speed: Shift again either, but at least that was moderately good. |
I think I kind of regret buying Animal Crossing City Folk just because I never bothered to play it a lot, despite the fact it's one of those games where you're kind of suposed to.
2 – SK, Pingouin7Phantom Hourglass. It was ridiculously short. Shouldv'e gotten Pearl version like I originally intended to.
1 – Pingouin7|
-Mystery Dungeon was a pretty big disappointment to me
-Spyro and the Eternal Night (I used to love Spyro games, the new ones are just depressing - pretty much the same with Crash) |
1 – Mario227I have way too many games I bought but never played. Heck, I still have some I haven't opened. *sees We ♥ Katamari, Final Fantasy VII, Grand Theft Auto: London, Ridge Racer, Ninjabread Man, and a small stack of other games*
As for a 'worst' one...hmm...Hey You, Pikachu! was pretty bad. In fact, it's the only game I have actually sold my only copy of. (I did sell a second copy of another game.) I did buy it again later just so I could have it.
I either bought or got as a gift Endless Ocean for Wii. It was fun for about a week, then I just stopped playing it and let it rot. I eventually sold it to someone for like 10 bucks. Also, my grandmother sent me *shudder* Neopets Puzzle Adventure for the Wii. I just gave that piece of garbage to GameStop for 5 bucks. I'm still wondering why she would send me a game she knows I wouldn't like...
Oh, and my brother got me Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers for Wii, but I don't know how to tell him I don't like it and I will never play it.
Probably Majora's Mask.
It was ridiculously hard with that damn 3 day limit per quest, and the moon gave mt the freakin' creeps!
I might give Zelda another chance with OoT 3d.
1 – Masterge77
1 – Pingouin7Well, actually in some ways....Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
First off, let me say a lot of people would hate me for saying that but.....
The roster is lacking: 20-25 something characters when Marvel vs Capcom 3 has 36 characters and yet MvC3 still gets rant for no reason (lol nostalgia people playing MvC2)
?: The roster I saw for Tatsunoko I didn't really like outside of Karas, and Joe the Condor and for Capcom I only really liked Ryu, and Frank.
Terroble online: The loading times online are horrendous and takes around ten minutes to go online before my butt gets kicked
No themes for characters: Now, this seems like the most lazy part in TvC. When a characters dies and another from your/other team pops out, it doesn't give you encouragement to make a complete comeback like in MvC1 or 2 (and 3) did.
Mafia II was incredibly short, extremely linear despite having an open world, and had some pretty awful italian stereotypes.
1 – 7dewott8A new one for me would be Asphalt 3D. It's not really the best driving game I've played for a couple of reasons, but I still slightly enjoyed it. Until I came across this event in the championship mode that's literally impossible (It's not because I'm bad at the game, I'm pretty good at racing games.). Then I never played it again.
I'm a real animal lover, and I bought this one game where you would like, I think raise your own farm of horses or something, and it wouldn't let me do anything. I went EVERYWHERE, but nothing happened. I played it for DAYS, trying to figure out what to do and how to play it, but nothing worked. I guess that's what I get for a $9 game. -_- I was going to give it back, but my mom forgot, because I told her, and now this game is STILL here. I don't know where it is, though. Thank goodness. It's a waste of money game. Really.

Star Wars: Lightsaber Duels, nuff said. IT'S BASED ON THE DAMN CLONE WARS AND MULTIPLAYER IS CRAP! AND THE STORY MODE TOOK ME LESS THEN 1 HOUR. TOOK ME ABOUT 50 MINUTES, 50 DAMN MINUTES ON A FULL PRICED $49.99!

The worst game I've ever bought is probably Yugioh: Reshef the Dark Being (GBA) from my childhood. The only thing that was semi good about the game was the storyline. The duels were extremely difficult and tedious in the beginning and as the game went on. I always depended on luck to win each duel; there was absolutely no skill involved. If anybody actually beats this game with no cheats, they have insane luck.
To me, this game isnt worth the money, unless you're extremely determined to beat it.
Petz Dogs 2
Don't ask... It seemed like a Nintendogs for the Wii when I first noticed it, but after the first 15 minutes I could tell it was a horrible choice. >_>
1 – Pingouin7Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
It was originally a sweet and kind hearted gift from my boyfriend but I just couldn't stick to the game. I found it rather boring. I heard a lot of good things about it and thought it would be good to at least try but... Ooft, my mind was always drifting after every few battles.
Resident Evil 5 for me was a pretty bad purchase. Of course, I played Dead Space first and Dead Space if far better and harder then Resident Evil 5. (not to mention actually SCARY) But, yeah Resident Evil 5 was pretty crap for a mainstream title. Hopefully, 6 can be really awesome.
I'm fairly aware of console games being inferior to the PC versions often, but the whole game seemed like grinding through low quality fogged maps, alternate title: Paper Spore
oh my god i didn't understand this one bit to the point I finally said F it and gave up around the second or third level. The maps looked like they crossed in on whatever and I can't even remember a point to all that running around. Controlls made me die everytime I tried to control that horrid forward direction speed. I also remember some crappy Mario Party thing for some reason.
Pokemon Stadium without the fun, I joke. Actually it wasn't THAT bad, it's just not really worth using, especially since BW is out now which makes it out of date for those like me who focus more on the latest stuff. I actually beat it when I got it in Georgia, but I used my grandparents' Wii at the time, aka I beat it but couldn't transfer to my Wii since Wifi using gamesaves can't be copied.
Also, Sunset Colosseum.
1 – ShinyHalo 3.
The game worked for at most 3 days after I bought it. After those 3 days, it took me hours just to get it to play as a game, not a DVD. Now it's just crammed somewhere in my game library.
I think the cashier cursed it. Right after I bought it, he said I might want to save the receipt. Guess what I did? I through away the receipt when I got home.
Counter-Strike: Source. I paid $20 for it, and according to Steam I've played 96 minutes of it.

That's not a fault with the game, that's a fault with Microsoft and their don't know how to make a functional console.

-Mystery Dungeon was a pretty big disappointment to me
-Zoo Tycoon for the DS, only played it like once -Spyro and the Eternal Night (I used to love Spyro games, the new ones are just depressing - pretty much the same with Crash) |
Probably, and you're gonna hate me for it, but Pokemon Black Version. I already Pre-Ordered White, but I got impatient and bought Black, but when I got home from Fred Meyers, in the mail was White.
1 – GalliumGrantSonic Unleashed for the Wii. It was cool when I got it and all, but the overdose of night stages which were equal in length annoyed me. And the bombardment of useless mandatory day missions made me rage. After a SHORT day stage. Plus, the boosting is downright stupid. You can't even really CONTROL it. I'm glad I gave it away as a birthday present. I prefer the 360 one more.
2 – 7dewott8, Mario227No one say Brink? I am dissapoint. There are some other games with terrible A.I but this is just horrible. Awful maps and respawn system and escort missions on single player are near suicide. Some might call this a lame version of TF2, I personally just think this is a bad FPS to be summed up as and nothing more then a product purely rushed out before they could fix this. Not even the patches can fix this pain in Brink.
