THIS HACK WILL NOT BE COMPLETED AND WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD.

This thread is mostly for the folks who haven't seen it yet.

Many thanks to Koolboyman for all the work he contributed towards this. You're probably looking at this and thinking "...What? Pokémon Black and White on the Game Boy Color?" In the video, I present to you just Route 2 from the hack. That is all that is completed, and that is all that will ever be completed.

Here are all the assets that I worked on, as well as the actual audio editing:

^^ Not the cried though, you just pasted them on top of the video :3

How would one go about devamping a Pokémon's cry?

Brings back memories of Silver on the GBC. <33
The sprites look pretty awesome. My favorite part of the hack. <33

To be honest, I'm not completely sure it would be any more than a simple filter. I mean, the modern cries aren't exactly impressive, and if you can get Pikachu to say its name on the Game Boy...

Actually, I think he used the GBC's LPCM.

If you don't know what that means, basically, the GB/C and NES support rather short, 4-bit recording samples, which is basically what he used for the cries.

Also, it wasn't until I watched this video I noticed that the GB/C supports HDMA... or at least I think that's what the attack effects (and battle transitions) use.

Also also, that trainer battle theme was simply made for an 8-bit mix. Currently looping the NSF you provided. <3

The fact that I understand nearly everything you said makes me feel like a complete nerd.

Yeah, I really should have run the cries through FamiTracker's DPCM filter to make them sound close.

It definitely does. Extremely noticable in the intros to the Zelda Oracles, what with the wavy background transition.
Also I like how someone other than me posted a thread about pokemon romhacks in the pokemon rom hacking board

I decided to start uploading extended versions of the music, so here's Wild Pokémon Battle, by popular demand.
