Toys 'R Us has the honor of giving the US its first in-store Pokémon event for Black and White. The event will take place from April 27th to May 31st. The Pokémon in question will actually be an egg. The egg will hatch into either an Axew, Pansage, or Pidove (based on the ones belonging to Iris, Cilan, and Ash from the anime respectively). This follows along with the Pokémon anime episode that airs on the 23rd in which Ash receives a Pokémon egg.
For those of you also into the Trading Card Game, while at TRU be on the lookout for special booster two-packs which will also contain a secret card based on one of said three event Pokémon that could hatch from the egg.

I always hate the fact that some events are exclusive to certain countries and not worldwide. Luckily, neither of these Pokémon interest me, so Game Freak is safe.
1 – AnathemAWhy does it have to be a store event?
Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter since there's nothing special about the eggs.
2 – Ditto616, A'bom...are they just normal Pidove, Pansage, and Axew?
Wow Game Freak. I am horribly disappointed. Why waste the effort of having a Pokemon event if they aren't even the lest bit special? Here's to hoping I am completely wrong, and these Pokemon have something unique about them other than the fact that you get them from Toys R Us!

I guess it would be nice to get a Pansage (Since I'm not getting lucky in Pinwheel Forest), but since Axew and Pidove are so easy to find, there's almost no point in doing this. It seems like this is just a way to get people into Toys 'r Us. And I'd probably get stuck with a Pidove anyway.
