What do you think? I'm pretty psyched, especially since SMAS was one of my favorite Mario games of all time. I also think that the old games with newer Wii graphics would be pretty cool.

Meh, it's just a direct port of Mario All-Stars, and its not even the version with Super Mario World. Now then, if they made the games so it was like New Super Mario Brothers (3D in a 2D universe), remade the music and all that other stuff then I would definitely get it. But, since it is just a direct port I'd rather just get the original cartridge for the SNES. However, the history of Mario book and the soundtrack look to be nice additions.

Well I never had the original, and I don't have them on VC, as shocking as it is, so this was a MUST ffor me and a great deal when I saw it.

I think I'd rather research this through Nintendo and not IGN. And I never owned SMAS, so I don't think I will ever get it.

I'm kind of indifferent towards these news; for me, Super Mario Galaxy is more than enough to keep me entertained, so I will probably not get SMAS Wii.

Nintendo will just keep milking the cash cow, won't they? I like how they can re-re-release something, and then throw in a pretty CD and bit of history you could get from a Wikipedia article, and everyone goes mad. It really just seems like they are pushing it.

Eh, I already have this for SNES. Music isn't really worth it. I can listen to any of the Mario songs I want on Youtube. The history can already be found on the internet. So, as you've probably guessed, I'm not getting it.

Like Yoshi said, it's a direct port of the SNES version, and it doesn't even have SMW. If it included updated graphics, or even just SMW, I'd consider getting it. And I don't think a little book and a soundtrack is enough to make me get it.

IGN has really gotta a lot of hate ,but haters will hate. Anyways, this is just a port of 4 VC games and from a SNES. Nintendo failed this one basically.

I don't think I will get Super Mario All-Star Wii because to me it's not worth getting the retro game for $30 unless you are a hard-core fan of Mario. Too bad Nintendo didn't put anything special on the game along with the book and the soundtrack.

I don't have a Wii, but I will buy it should I get a Wii in the alloted time simply to not feel bad for having pirated it... multiple times xD

I have to agree with everyone else here, I won't be getting it. All it is different controls and music, plus it doesn't come with SMW, I could have just as much fun by getting on the Wii Shop Channel...

Oh no, the cyber police is going to get you

Having bought SMB and gotten SMB3 free (the shop channel free nes offer if you paid for the internet channel) beaten the advance versions of SMB3 and SMW, beaten NES SMB3 via emulator, owning the SMB3 cartidge without a nintendo- I can safely say I have had enough of old school mario. Yoshi's Island was cool, why didn't they include it, too?

I don't need the soundtrack because I have Youtube, and for the most of Mario's history, you guys should check out The Mushroom Kingdom, there's some pretty useful stuff over there.

Due to the fact that I really don't like the SNES graphics they added to the underground, and seeing as how a have a copy of EVERY game in SMAS, I won't get this.
And I have the soundtrack to almost every Mario game I play, why should I pay $30 for an extra on a nice CD?

I got it, but only because I'm such a big freaking nerd.

Yeah I see this as a fail after seeing this.

I mean come on they couldn't explain the controls correctly!

The soundtrack almost feels put together last minute.

I got it simply because it was 30$ asking price (which, since it's just a port, is more reasonable than the normal 50$) and it's nice to have a collector's item on hand.

I just wanted to clarify that just because I got it, that doesn't mean I think Nintendo did a good job with this one. Honestly, this is probably one of Nintendo's rather bad ideas. They really don't have much going for it here, so they should have added SMW or at least something a little more deserving for the fans. So yeah, sorry Nintendo, but hopefully you'll do something a little better for Zelda's 25th this year

February 21? Too early for OoT, as the 3DS is due March, and Skyward Sword is entering the final stages of completion, and will be released after the Nintendo 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time. Miyamoto's words, not mine.
