HTTPS:// or ssl is enabled on victoryroad.
Which means some "content blocking" firewalls may allow you to connect to victoryroad now via: https://www.victoryroad.net

I am not sure if i missed a setting or not but parts of the forum are unencrypted. But areas like mod and admin areas are. On ff you will see a green or blue graphic. On IE you will see the entire bar go green on a 100% secure connection.
Edit: why is that loading across a site anyways?
I think i found it
<script src="http://www.victorybattles.net/client/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

(no matter who does it)I hope this works. I know this one site with like 50 proxies, but I keep forgetting about it until I'm in school and try to use VR only to find the proxy site itself is blocked. (I have suckish memory... I bet I'm gonna forget all about this https thing by tomorrow/thursday/whenever'sthenextdayofschool.)
VR itself doesn't appear to actually be blocked at school, as I can get on sometimes. What's often preventing me from getting on is the source - With this being a Pokémon forum, there are plenty of banned phrases spread across the forum, stopping me from getting on. Still, thanks for this, I think I know somewhere else where it might come in handy...

I hate that kind of content block. It's so stupid sometimes, especially when words like "sex" are blocked when you have a very valid reason to be on sites with that word, such as researching the media or pregnant teens for projects. Now, "Pikachu..." Not many people do school projects on 'mon stuff. Any idea what some of those phrases on that list are?

1 – randoguy101It's not single words, it's key phrases, so something like "Free Online Games" would be blocked, while "Games" alone would not.
@KYA - I've tried using Firefox Portable, but that won't connect to the internet at all.
(I wonder when I post this message this page will become blocked...)
That's actually a new block to me... God, there are actually things worse than what my school uses?
This whole damned country is ****ed to the floor. See ya'll in Canada.
2 – OMGITSJAD, ShadowCanada is worse keep up with the times. A new law went in effect that makes all providers have to charge overages when you go over 10gb download. (dotn remember the number but i know it was low.)
Ah firefox desen't work that expains a great deal. It means they are useing a proxy to filter traffic. Which is why https trafic goes though just fine as proxy would break ssl traffic so they can't filter it. Because it would be a man in the middle attack essentially. I heres a quick and dirty way to become a admin on a system using a boot floopy or linux live cd.
No i will not give full instructions.
find the program that runs the windows login
find comand line application
rename login
copy comand line application to login
when pc boots type explorer.exe into comand line application
You are now have higher permission than the administrator account on the system.
Even my collage does blocking like this. but there is always away. I setup a proxy at home to run on port 443 (https) port They rarely filter or block it.
