Some pictures of the boxes of the English version of the games were released. Along with that, a triple battle screenshot on the back of the Pokemon Black box is shown. What is more important is the English names for the elemental monkeys. The grass-type Yanappu is now called Pansage. The Fire-type Baoppu is now called Pansear, and the water-type Hiyappu is now called Panpour. It is now confirmed that N and Team Plasma are keeping their Japanese names.
Another interesting news is that Gamestop said that Black and White will be released on Sunday, April 17th. However, this is not confirmed yet, since Gamestop used to predict release dates before. Of course, we hope it is earlier than that, don't we?
It's been confirmed, as mentioned over here, that Pokémon Black and White are going to be released on March 6th, 2011.

Those are nice looking covers. ![]()
By the way, I've found something interesting on Pokébeach.

Those two dates (March 4th and 6th) could be possible release dates for Pokémon Black and White,
also, Nintendo of Europe often releases games on a Friday.
And if I'm correct Nintendo of America often releases games on a Sunday.
Only strange thing is that in that case Europe would get the two games 2 days earlier than the USA (yay for us European people.
)
Why are the English names of the 5th Generation Pokémon only ranging from decent to horrible (with the exception of Snivy, Unova and Pansear)? I really hope that the future English names sound better than that. Despite this slight disappointment, I'm still quite happy about the reveal of more information regarding the English games.

Sage, Sear and Pour. I like Pansage's name more than the other two. (And NOT because I have to).
What's the "Pan" supposed to be, anyways? |
Glad to hear N is still going to be called N.
Not particularly fond of the element monkey's names, but it's better than Tepig.
1 – The Spirit of TimeWell considering we have a Pokemon named "Seel", these names are pretty good by comparison, I say. And as of yet I'm ignoring all of this "possible" release date garbage, since it doesn't do a whole ton of good.
2 – Leaftail, ShinyI don't know why everyone's hating on the names so much. IMO, they're some of the best names yet.
1 – ShinyWell, we'll adapt to the names, whether we call them stupid now or not. I still refer to Piplup as Pochama sometimes, but I eventually got a grasp upon the English names of the 4th generation Pokemon, and began to like them.
As for the release date, Pokemon games do typically seem to release in March or April. When I was at Gamestop on the 24th, one of the workers was actually putting together the cases for Black and White! I still have my fill from the Japanese version, but I can see why most of us are anxious for it to release as soon as possible.
1 – ShinyEh, the names are okay...
I don't wanna bother with the release dates, cause it gets me more anxious and fidgety about when they're gonna come on.
Just gotta remember to save some Christmas and Birthday money to be able to pre order White or buy it if I don't pre order.
I really like the font they used for the display covers. It looks really nice. o3o
