Mario Kart 64 of course! Balloon Battles are a true test of skill with phenomenal levels, and haven't been cursed by the weird time addition in Mario Kart Wii. The levels and their music are perfect and not overly-flashy, and after every addition to the series this is the game that my friends and I still play together.
Mario Kart Wii. Double Dash is a runner up. Mario Kart 64 was good, but this is 2010, not 1998. I prefer a fresh experience. I like the fast paced racing on Wi-Fi and it provides a challenge, because not everyone has someone to participate on local multi-player with. And the bikes. Gotta love the bikes. Rosalina, Standard Bike L. Nuff said.
I gotta say Mario Kart DS. When it comes to Mario Kart games, it really isn't that good controlling it with an analog stick, but with that said, Super Mario Kart is simply impossible to control. I've also been constantly playing a DS for five years now, so I can easily master the controls of most games. I've also never played Super Circuit.
I have the same opinion as AshArmy: Mario Kart Wii comes in first place because it is an excellent game in many aspects. Mario Kart Double Dash comes in second place because I still remember how much fun my cousins and I had when we used to play it on the GameCube when we were young.

Is Super Circut the Mario/Pacman crossover one? If so, that's my favorite. And DD as my 2nd favorite.

I was about to mention this so I'll metion it now, LM, YOU FORGOT MARIO KART GP!
![]() Someone should add it to the poll. (and before anyone asks, yes it's real) |
Mario Kart 64 certainly has the best feel and voice cast and everything, but I get more of a thrill out of playing Wii and Double Dash now with their smooth, realistic gameplay. So I guess Wii's my favorite, but MK64 definitely deserves an honorable mention for eating up so much of my time in the late 90's.
