Pokémon Gold and Silver were the only pair of Pokémon games to have different sprites. So I ask you this: Which had better sprites?

I honestly prefer the Silver sprites, they're less like the Sugimori art, so they're more creative. I also just generally like them better.

I actually prefer the Gold sprites. Mainly because I like them better but also due to them looking more of the Sugimori art style.

Well, I guess the Gold sprites are better since most of my Pokemon wouldn't look so messed up if they were in there. They both look somewhat bad to me, though.

Definitly Silver. I used to compare with my friends's gold pokedex, and I saw so many ugly sprites there, That I was happy that I picked Silver. Too bad that in Crystal most of the sprites are based on Gold...

I prefer Silver, is it just me or do the Sliver sprites look more vivid? Also I like the poses better. And oh my gosh Mewtwo's Silver sprite is just... <3

Silver most definitely. Just about all of the ones in Gold have very awkward-looking poses and do not seem well done at all.

I'm not sure... I love some spirtes in Silver better and some better in Gold...All in all it just makes me wish other pairs of games had different sprites. I always found that idea to be so much fun.

Gold. The Pokemon resemble eachother a bit more.

I like the Gold Poses.

I like Gold, but that might have something to do with the fact that I got Gold and my brother got silver. So of course mine was better.

Hmmm... They are each cool, have bad outdated colors and are dark pokemon.

I like the gold sprites

This indeed is an idea I think they should have kept for later generations.
But that would also have meant they would have needed to design different poses each generation.

As for myself, I like the sprites from Silver better than those from Gold.
But the sprites from Crystal will always be better in my eyes.

I love Silver's but I also love Gold's. Grrr I just can't decide I love them both.

If I had to choose between Gold and Silver sprites, I think I would go for Silver in this case.
