This is a list of sites that may not be linked to, may not be embedded, and may not be talked about due to either a conflict of interest from VictoryRoad's sites and products or because of damage, either indirectly or directly, to VictoryRoad's traffic. All banned sites may be discussed here or petitioned for removal elsewhere, and generally sites are only banned to help benefit our users. When a site is removed or added to the list, a new post will be made to address such.

Temporarily Banned Sites

  • There are none at this time.

Permanently Banned Sites
  • Encyclopedia Dramatica - This site has pornographic advertisements. It should be obvious, really, but since there was some linking we kinda gotta make this more obvious.
  • PokéFarm - As a result of certain illegalities (specifically, a violation of Nintendo's rights), PokéFarm links may not be embedded within the forum.

Uh... If the owner doesn't want it to be distributed, its illegal: not much more to it. Thus, copyrighted music files, Warez, and the like are illegal torrents, where as a Linux distro is legal.

would gelbooru and the chans be included in this list?
Don't even know what gelbooru is. The idea is that these sites aren't otherwise on the rules. 2/4-chan I'm guessing is fine if you link to something that isn't against the rules.

xD

But, uh, no, we don't care what sites you go to as long as you don't link to them here (either for legal or moral issues). Same goes for file sharing.

Edit: And generally you won't be banned unless it happens several times. Usually you'll just get an infraction/warning instead.

Good ol' "don't ask, don't tell."

.org only. (Also there's the trademark violation of .com thing...)

And I don't personally know about Urban Dictionary.

It varies case-by-case, but in general if the material is flagged as containing malware by Google's (or another third party) malware list, we ban it until the malware drops down.

Other reasons include violating a forum rule, but not doing it obviously enough for everybody to know this.

Who's British. (Dun Dun Duuuuuun!)

Instead, I recommend VictoryBattles, run by our pride and joy FreezeWarp. At least WE have some 5th gen mons! Take that, stupid Shinx thingy!
It used to actually say "we recommend VictoryBattles", but I try not to look like a pretentious ****** when possible...

The real reason is the site has questionable legal status as there are certain "pay" accounts which could violate Nintendo's rights.

Um, I hate to admit, but ED shut down a month ago. The owners replaced it with some other site that is apparently a wiki for internet memes.

Also, what about ********s rival GPX+, is it okay to link to that?
