A new Wi-Fi event for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver is on it's way! This event will give you a Level 5 Mew which only knows one move: Pound. It will come in a Cherish ball and will have a Premier Ribbon. The Wi-Fi event will be available October 15th (this Friday) and will end October 30th (Saturday). It is unknown if this Mew will also be available for download in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. It is available for download to those in the US/Canada and Europe.

Is it just a Wi-Fi event? There's no special location to go to? I remember the last Mew event I went to was at a Toys R Us.

I think I've already got this Mew on my Japanese version. It might be the same one, it's got the same level, move, ball and ribbon. I'm glad to see that it's FINALLY getting a release outside of Japan!

Nais, now I can add it to my collection of other Mews! (I have one from Hoenn, one from My Pokémon Ranch and I think another one from someplace else).

...I really wish I bought SoulSilver already. I was able to get I think three Jirachi's since I had one of each D/P/Pt, but I won't be quite so fortunate this time around.

Ooh cool, now I'll have 4 Mew. I love events over wi-fi, I don't have to drive to the US or ask for a trade. >_<

how would i get good ivs with this thing?

I wouldn't actually bother to SR with Mew. It's an Uber, and I can NOT do Ubers battles. I'll still train it though, as it gives me something to do, and should I ever get into Ubers I've got a bit of a head start!

• Quite a few Pokémon fans were introduced with D/P/Pt/HG/SS. Others never knew what an event was until those games came around (the latter is my case).
• Quite a few Pokémon fans don't want to go to the ever-rare Toys 'R' Us. I am in this group myself as well. Even inside the U.S. such stores may be a couple hours away. As such, Wi-Fi makes it a lot easier for more rural fans.
• Some people may no longer have their older games or reset the game before knowing to transfer. I was in this group until about a year ago (when before I reset Platinum for the second time I moved everything to HeartGold).
• No Pokémon is ever rare with Action Replay or GTS (which may go hand-in-hand: not sure).

Well, I only have a single Mew in my Platinum (as far as my memory serves me), so this is a great chance to increase the collection. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't have anything special besides the ribbon, though.

Now all nintendo has to is give us arceus for platinum games to go and catch him legit.

I just got Mew TTT and I am starting on EVing it! (Which is really good because I got it as Modest nature the very first time I received it!)
