Which will/would you get first? If both, which do you prefer?

I'm gonna get SoulSilver purely for nostalgia reasons. The first second generation game I got was Silver, and I would rather have Lugia first.

I'll be getting HeartGold, since the GameBoy Color version of Gold brought me back into liking Pokémon so I would want the newer version of that.

HeartGold, for two reasons. One, I have Silver Version but not Gold, and two, I hear HeartGold has Groudon and I have Sapphire and not Ruby. I'll probably get both though for the preorder gifts.

I might be getting both, but I definitely will buy HeartGold. I grew up with Gold. Even though I think Groudon and Lugia are pretty cool, I will choose HG.

I chose Soul Silver because Groudon, Latios, and Teddiursa.

anyway, I am getting both, but I prefer HG because I had Gold when I was younger, and I usually get the major game.
(i.e Red, Gold, Ruby...)

I have the Japanese Soul Silver because I want to get an English Heart Gold (Gold was my favourite game other than Crystal, and the only 2nd gen game I have that still has an original, working battery)

I am so getting gold, because gold version is what I origionally had...before it died D:

I am going to buy HeartGold because my friend; Shadow, is going to buy SoulSilver and I don't want to have the same games.

POKEMON SOULSILVER,as for the other people who grew up with Pokemon Gold, I grew up with POKEMON SILVEREven though you can get lugia as well in Heartgold...I just Prefer Pokemon SoulSilver

Soul Silver for me. I had both Gold and Silver, but a friend stole my Gold version.. So, guess I'm sticking with Silver.

I say HeartGold because I always go with the first game in the way they say it... I got Ruby, FireRed, and Diamond first if you know what I mean now.

I'm buying both and doing both concurrently (get a badge on one go to the other)

I like HeartGold for Ho-Oh, and Gold was the original 2nd Gen Game I had.

I voted for Heart Gold because I like the legendary pokemon ho-oh!.

For the sake of Ninetales more than anything, I pick SS. However if the birds were version-specific, I'd make the same choice for Lugia's sake.

Well I got the normal Gold version for Game boy Colour back when it came out. So I got Soul Silver for the Nintendo DS. I think I prefer it because you can get Lugia, Soul Silver that is.
