Two people who went to Gamestop for placing pre-orders of Pokémon Black & White were told that the games would be released on Friday April 22nd, 2011 in America, at a price of $40. It's interesting to note that the release date mentioned is the same as Pokémon Diamond and Pearl's, so it's most likely just a guess based around that. Also, the main Pokémon games are usually released on Sundays, which means that this is probably not the exact release date. However, it still gives us a good clue about the period within which the games will be released in America.

I hoped it was in March since even if I buy it, I will keep it in my cupboard as my exams start in May and go on until mid-June.

I hope it is the April date. :3 I'll be done with the semester by then.

Yeah, but that's probably a guess by the people at Gamestop. Hopefully it'll be earlier going by the example of HGSS.

We have to wait that long, huh? Crud. Instead of making us wait until spring, I wish they'd just release it around Christmas time. That way I'd actually be able to get something other than boring stuff like clothes and other "make life easier" junk. I want TOYS inside the presents, darn it!

That'll give me plenty of time to be way finished the Japanese copy and complete as much of the Pokedex as possible. I hope they're released a bit earlier than that though.

I was hoping it'd be in March; it be in line with Pt/HG/SS and it'd make it much easier for me to get it before my brother's birthday on April 16th.

I'm eyeing this suspiciously for the time being until definitive proof of a release date is revealed (e.g. an official statement from Nintendo or Gamestop).

It's a good thing that the game releases this spring, but unfortunately I lots of test to take during April. Well I am pretty excited for the game and can't wait for it. By the way, have they confirm the release for Europe? Just curious.

At the gamestop where i live, it said was coming out on April 2 DX

Considering the 3DS will be released in early March, I find it unlikely that Black and White, such huge games, would be released more than a month after the system that makes them inferior.

Though that's just my two cents. It's still entirely possible, and I'd still sure as heck buy them

I just read a post on game faqs and someone said that the April 22nd release date is 100% true but I wouldn't even get my hopes up for a second.....

As long as Serebii didn't confirm yet, nor Pokébeach did, there is no solid proof about it. I really hope it is is in March or early April. I want to buy these games and play them, not buy these games and go to my exams. :\

Serebii doesn't confirm things without getting solid proofs. If Serebii confirms it, then it got it from Nintendo. It is easier to get from Serebii rather than checking Nintendo.

Gamestop tends to keep "placeholder dates" for game releases, which are then modified later to fit the actual release date. While they could be right on this one, it`s not quite confirmation, so I suppose we`ll just have to wait until more information about the games from TPCI is released.
