Earlier today someone linked me to a texture pack called Painterly. Loving it so far due to how heavily customizeable it is. After a couple hours going through all the options, this is one of the pics from the custom pack I picked out. Now the nether looks more like a nether, with lava in the netherrack and netherbrick, and lava in the skull mouths of the soulsand.
