...It's Windows Movie Maker. The name says it all. It makes movies. It's probably the most basic movie/video editing software available, it comes installed on almost every PC, granted the PC is XP or higher, and it's relatively easy to pick up and use. It does come with a ton of headaches though.
Be sure that you have a VIDEO TO EDIT before opening up WMM and clicking random things like an idiot first.

The project file needs to be converted into a movie before you can do anything with it. Even though editing is over, it's still not done. You need to save it as a wmv. file, which is basically what it'll be when you save the movie. Once saving and rendering is done, you'll be able to do whatever you want. Just be sure you don't break anything during the process, because WMM likes to act like an idiot a lot. This is the main reason I want a Mac, because iMovie is one of the best movie editing softwares I've ever used.
Anyhow, once it's finished rendering, go to YouTube's Upload button and then click your video file. Give it a while to upload and don't be suprised if YouTube craps on your vid's quality, it does that a lot to WMM. Also, give the vid processing time before you make any final remarks about the audio/video quality- if you did everything ok, it should fix itself.
