Is it a smartphone? Is it a feature phone? Or is it one of these fancier tabletphones or tablet computers that can also call? And what's the manufacturer and make?

Right now I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S, modded out with Cyanogenmod 7. I find it work really well in most situations with the combination of the hardware and software - everything runs real snappy, call quality is good, and best of all, I can pretty much do anything I want.

(By the way, phones have come a long way since their inception, don't you think?)

A few options for your poll such as: iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Touch-based, etc. may better describe it. I personally use an entry level Verizon LG Vortex with Honeycomb 2.2.2 and I use it along with a 16GB micro sd for my music library, it's quite nice. I would recommend something with more power if you have the cash to spare.

I just upgraded my phone from an LG Ally to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Very happy with the new phone so far. Very low ping times [best test gave a ping of 70] and very fast internet speeds [~1MB/sec down and up]. It has a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 32GB internal memory and 1GB RAM. Plus it's running the new 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android OS.

With all the promos that was going on at the time, got it plus a lot of free accessories for $99. I think this constitutes a win.

I don't know all that techy stuff yet, but I got a brandnew Samsung Sidekick 4G. This thing is sweeet. Handles forums and chats decently, it's camara has no flash though... And 4G connection is always hard to find...Still, I like good old T-mo.

Where's the option for those of us with obsolete-yet-indestructible 5-year-old Nokias? :3

What exactly is the definition of "Feature Phone"?

If it's what I'm thinking of, then my phone is none of those types in the poll.

THIS

I have a Nokia 2760 (Navy Blue color). I've had it for about 4-5 years. I dropped it many times, and it just keeps chugging along which you can't say about most smartphones.

I'm fine without having a smart phone it because I'm REALLY weird in the sense I use my PHONE as a PHONE TO ACTUALLY TALK WITH PEOPLE! Crazy I know, but texting takes me forever and if I want to browse the web I'd much rather have a computer with a larger screen, full keyboard, and more processing power.
