So after playing Mario Kart 7 in a call with friends, I realized that people pronounce Lakitu different. My reaction was "Whaaaat? I've never heard it that way before. I think you're saying it wrong." Then everyone was saying Lakitu the way that I think is wrong. Only one of my friends agreed with my pronunciation. So I what I want to know is, do you pronounce it Lack-ih-too or Lah-kee-too? Me personally, I say Lah-kee-too.

I pronounce it Lu-ka-too actually. Yes, I know there's no "U" in Lakitu, so shush before you say anything.

Huh. I always thought it was spelled, "Latiku" (pronounced Lah-tee-koo). Now that I know how it's really spelled, though, I think I'll go with either Lack-i-too or Lake-i-too, as those pronunciations seem to come more naturally.

I pronounce it Lah-ke-too. I don't put a lot of stress on the "e" in "ke".

I pronounce it Lak-'ih'-too. I give it an 'ih' sound in the middle.

I'm the same as silver, "Lah-kit-oo"

it's pretty tempting to just pronounce it like lackehtoo because aremican english tends to favor those sorts of pronunciations, but it looks like a pronoun of japanese origin, so i pronounce it the way it was intended to be pronounced: lah-kee-too
