I found a lost puppy on the way back home from Taco Bell. Our problem is he has no licence, so I have no idea who is owner is.

We're still looking for the owner though, but I really don't wanna keep this dog! It's already started creeping me out!

I need help on taming a dog if we don't manage to find its owner. Help would be much appreciated.

Start by sticking up "FOUND" posters (the opposite of "LOST PET") around your neighborhood, as long as local laws or Homeowner's Association doesn't prevent you from doing so. It might also help to stick them up in local kennels, as well as the bulletin boards in department stores.

Even though he doesn't have a tag, he may still be chipped. Usually instead of a regular tag they imbed a tiny micro-chip within them. If that is the case he can just be scanned with a scanner (which a vet should have) and it will bring up all the owner's data.

You're welcome. I've had to deal with finding untagged lost pets before.

You can always try to ask other people by walking

Door-to-door might work if others have seen the dog, but it's a long shot and doesn't work as well as it sounds.

I actually think we're pretty close to finding its owner. It's a playful dog, but I think he's homesick.

Okay, good news! We found its owner! Apparently the dog's name is Boston.

I thank Cat and everyone who helped me and gave me advice for this. It was much appreciated!

Good, it's always nice to see a pet returned to his/her home.
