Windows 7 is released today (although some people in the UK have gotten their copy yesterday due to postal strikes...), what's everyones opinion on it? I've been using the RC version for a while now and I'm liking 7 over Vista. (If anyone's intrested on how well it's been selling, Amazon UK have put it top of the all time Pre-order sales, above the Nintendo Wii and the final Harry Potter book)
Requirements:
1 GB or RAM (I got it working on 512MB of RAM though it's annoyingly slow...) (2 for 64-bit, though really you'll want to have 4GB of RAM or more)
Processor capable of clocking 1GHz
16GB of Hard Drive space (20GB for 64-bit)
DVD Drive (Obviously)
Sound drivers, display drivers, wireless card drivers (if you run wireless)
(XP Mode you need a processor that is capable of hardware virtualisation, an extra 1GB of RAM, 15GB of Hard drive space on a 64-bit version of 7)
(Notice how 32-bit versions requirements are similar to Vista's...)
Windows 7, discuss!
I don't know much about Windows 7 at least not compared to what I knwo about Vista which I loathe for whatever reasons. But all in all I'd like to try it out. honestly I love Windows XP but it's majorly outdated and honestly I hate being so far behind the curve ![]()

Say this about Windows 7, It's got to be better.
Though I don't own Windows 7, I did get a play around with it a couple of months ago (evaluation copy, belonging to a web-designer). It's all layed out really well, and it's a lot faster than Vista (same specs as my PC, but Spore ran flawlessly on nearly the highest graphics). The only problem was that the resolution was 1600x900 on a tiny screen!
