No one's the Torchic but me. My partner would ideally be something that can back me up and take care of enemies I can't. For this reason, I always pick the new Water starter of the gen. In PMD Blue, I chose Mudkip (no meming involved) and in PMD Time, I picked Piplup. So Piplup for now.
I would usually start with a Water-type Pokémon, so... It would be Piplup, Lotad, Poliwag or Mudkip. Then again, Empoleon has three weaknesses, Swampert only one, Ludicolo three, Poliwrath FOUR and Politoed two. So I´d choose Mudkip or Poliwag.
Water-types don´t have many weaknesses. ![]()
Definitely Rotom. Since Levitate eliminates Ground-types, and Electric/Ghost typing gets rid of Normal- and Fighting-type moves, I would only have Ghost- and Dark-types to worry about. BUT, if I give it Ominous Wind, ThunderShock, Signal Beam, and Thunderbolt, I would have quite the Rotom indeed. Plus, it looks so epic. ![]()

Infiltrating electronics, that'd be SO fun. Imagine me hiding in a DS, and some kid's playing Pokémon. Then I come out, and they're like, "OH CRAP!! A REAL POKéMON!!"
...Win. ![]()
Hmm.. Cyndaquil (reason is that it is the basic fire type not like Chimchar (fighting) torchic (will be fighting) and Charmander (will be flying)Cyndaquil would be my partner so I would be a Mudkip and one day turn into a ground time to block electric attacks and then my fire type typholison would protect me from grass types and even if my opponent was a water type, my swampert would back me up cause i have tested the theory on my swampert and a water type only does minimal damage to it. The swampert would take one measily hit while my typholison would use neither a special move (not sure if typholsion could use grassknot) but if it can I'd demolish the water type and leave my team full proof. I'd probably have protect or detect on one or both of the pokemon, probably Swampert seeing how sturdy it is.
