Does that make me a bad person?

The question was along the lines of "What is better? Gaining intelligence or going head on into things?"

I said pro-info and used Link, as he goes around gaining weapons and info on how to beat Ganon before going to attack him.

Mario went straight into things. He went through eight different worlds, each with a castle at the end that did not have his princess inside. If only he had just found out where Bowser really was, he could have saved his long adventure (maybe a bit of a stretch there).

Has anyone else used video game references in schoolwork, work work, or similar things?

I have never included gaming references in my essays, but I remember once writing a narrative essay with mystery and suspense as its theme, in which I used an episode of Detective Conan. But you need to worry whether the examiners will be accepting your references.

You might wanna be careful on the actual SAT. You'll want to show the graders that you're taking it seriously.

Actually, one of my old teachers wrote her college entrance essay on her theory of why mermaids are real or something...so no, I don't think that's a bad thing at all. I've never used a reference like that but I always thought it would be cool to do so.

I prefer to stick to real, serious things when writing a formal exam, so my suggestion is to avoid these references just to be on the safe side.

I'm taking the Kaplan SAT prep class, and they said we could use examples from various media. Once it's scored, I'll see how I did. But as far as I'm concerned, I'm okay.

I'm going to be making a program similar to the Pokewalker's battling system for my graduation project.
