I'm currently playing Pokemon Yellow.. But i cannot get into Saffron city. I've gotten the badge from Koga's gym, and even went ahead, and got the Cinnabar Gym badge.. But i still cannot get into Saffron City. Help!

Unlike FireRed and LeafGreen, to get past the guards, you actually have to buy one of the refreshments located on the top of Celadon Department Store, where as in the remakes, you'd have to get the key item Tea. Any Fresh Water, Lemonade, or Soda Pop will do, if I'm not mistaken. I think I always went for Lemonade though.
