Star Fox 64 was mine and for personal reasons.
When I first rented it (my dad said it would be cool), I didn't know what I was doing (I shot bombs and thought they were my ONLY weapon). I managed to get through the second level and would die first thing against Star Wolf.
Once I learned about lasers (and how to press "a"), I was getting better. As time progressed, I got through each level until I reached the dreaded Andross (fake but for me real at that point). He would always just barely kill me in his robot form.
Then, one day with three friends, I was near death in his robot form and I said "die sucker!" and threw my last smart bomb at him. It killed him and I went flying to victory.
We all flew out the bedroom so proud of my victory.
Now I'm a pro at Star Fox wishing the new ones were as good as that classic game.
