Well, I didn't think I'd be posting this here. I knew I'd be posting this back at the forum where the link in my signature goes to, but certainly not here.

I gotta say, the kind of hack I'm linking to is extremely rare here I believe.

It may not be a Super Mario World Hack, or a Pokemon Hack (hence why I didn't post this in the Pokemon Hacking Forum), but I hope it's still fun to play. I didn't make everything myself. I'll warn you though; It's hard and can be unforgiving. (I told ya I came form another forum! O_o)

I can't link you to a Genesis emulator, so you'll have to find one yourself.
Hint: Look for Gens or Kega Fusion.

P.S: I'm currently asking emperorempoleon2 if I can use one of his compositions in my hack. He's 13 and he's already ahead of me in music. Wow. Oh, yeah. You guy's have a slightly newer version of my hack than the actual Sonic Hacking Community I sent it to. Ironic? Also if I'm linking anything I shouldn't please tell me for legal reasons.

Please don't link to the ROM, this is illegal. If you can link to an IPS patch, do so. Linking to an emulator is fine though.

Okay. The thing is though is that in the ROM and Piracy page in this forum, linking to a page where ROM's of other games can be downloaded is illegal. This same page that was going to be used to link to an emulator is at a page where ROM's of other games can be accessed.

Overall, thank you for telling me this information. Although I have a few things to ask, like is linking to a different page with your ROM of your hack illegal, like Rapidshare and 4shared? Also, in the previous hacking forum I'm in, most hackers use split dissasemblies and link to their hacks using Rapidshare and such (with the file extension rar or zip by the way). We don't use IPS Patches as I'm afraid there they're maybe obsolete. Do you think I should patch my ROM to an IPS Patch, and considering the different circumstances do you think it'll work? I'm not sure. Since things are different here I want to learn the appropriate methods to follow your rules. Ultimately I may make some mistakes that may get me booted out for a week, but generally, your just doing your job.

At any rate, it is a hacking norm for the most part to use IPS or UPS patches, as opposed to... well, anything else (a good example: http://mother3.fobby.net/).

Also, link to the actual emulator *website* if you're going to link to the emulator at all. I hate getting a megadownload or similar link for an emulator, ya know?

Glitches:
-Spring Yard Zone\Casino Star Zone is flooded. WTH.

-If you jump into the Special Stage Ring, you automatically go into the Special Stage.
After you exit, you appear somewhere you shouldn't in the next act with out the level end tally.
The game could also freeze.

Since I use to download hacks from the ROM itself, how do I patch the ROM?

Ok guys first of linking to emulators is FINE. However linking to a PS2 bios rom is bad. As is a game rom. use dif or somethign and make a patch of the changes. (Because this server is in the US and we have to deal with thous laws)

I'd like to personally apologize if there has been any misunderstanding. IPS patches (like the one provided above) are usually fine, as are homebrew ROMs. Commercial ROMs, even if they have been modified, are not allowed, however, for reasons stated in KingOfKYA's post.
