In the PokeWalker, a flying pikachu can be found in the yellow forest area, as well as pikachus with surf and volt tackle. I was wondering if anyone with HG or SS has gotten a flying pikachu yet. (yellow forest requires any event to be earned.)

I guess they must be really rare then.

How do you unlock it? Do you use an AR to unlock all of them? I wan't to do it the normal way, but I'm way too impatient to walk so many steps for 90,000 or so watts. Or wait for an event.

I'm on a search for that code.

Its by event, I think getting any event unlocks it.

Ill trade for a flying pikachu if someone wants to catch me one...

Haven't yet gotten lucky. My Dialga (current resident of the PokéWalker) is on the beach.

Lol it's sunbathing. You should make it hold black glasses next time it goes there...
That would be kind of scary though, your just walking along and you see a dialga just kind of laying there wearing sun glasses...

Dialga on the beach, Palkia next to it, and a Wailord and Skitty playing in the waves together. (If you don't get it, don't look into it)

Anyway, back on topic...
Has it even been confirmed that you can find flying Pikachu in the Yellow Forest? If it is in there, someone must've found one by now.

Yeah, some people on GameFAQs have confirmed that you can find a Flying Pikachu OR a Surfing Pikachu OR a Volt Tackle Pikachu OR an ordinary Pikachu (but not ones that combine the moves).

Sorry to double post, but I just revisited the bulbapedia article about the pokewalker, and it sais that when using the pokeradar, there are three groups. There are common, and rarer, and rarest. If a single exclamation point appears above the grass, it is a common, if 2 appear it is rarer or rarest, and if three appear, it is always rarest. So for those of you looking for a flying Pikachu, choose only the three or maybe two, as the flying and surfing are in the rarest bracket.

:/
In Yellow Forest I've only seen single ! points. No !! or !!!. By the way, if you leave an ! point, will another one appear?

EDIT: No, you'll just waste 10 watts -_-
Also, the only Pikachu I've come across so far is the Thunder one.
And...
When Bulbapedia says you need 8000+ steps to find a Pokémon, does that mean just for that day or for your whole time with the walker?

Not sure, I would test it somehow, but I don't have HG/SS YET.

I'm on 9989 steps now, and I've been looking for Pikachu for ages -_-. I've only found normal Pikachu and Thundershock ones. Not even a Volt Tackle one

Couldn't you breed for a Pikachu like that? Or do HM moves not carry down through breeding?

I don't think Surf is an egg move for Pichu.
