Hey I'm starting a new file on yellow version and I wanted some advice on my team such as how many should be in my team, what types, and key moves to let them learn

the three starters are always a good base and give you great type coverage. that will also leave you open for a lot of different options.

Well lets see, if your team would look like this: Pikachu, the 3 starters (4), maybe a flying type like spearow? He was good back in the day for me as he had more speed and power than pidgey did in the begining of the game. Plus maybe a Makey/Primape as they take out those dumb normal types like rattata's, meowth's with his fighting moves, that way you dont have to worry about trying to trade for a machamp later in the game as he is better if you do get the chance.

i'd 86 the electric rat for a chansey, gengar or alakazam if your concerned about special.
