I think IW is milking the franchise a bit much. I also think they should've just split the MW series away from the mainstream CoD series, since CoD is more of a historical depiction of World Wars from the past and not fictional but plausible wars in our time.

Unless MW3 has a mission where you play as the SEAL team that killed Osama bin Laden I'm not interested.

Hopefully it'll be better than the last one. But as usual, I'm going to wait until it's released and properly reviewed(as in not by a crazy fanboy AKA yahtzee) then see if it's worth my time.

But this is Infinity Ward so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Wow, totally didn't see this coming. Oh well, I'm probably gonna pick this one up. Black Ops was good and all, but it was kind of a flop for me. Didn't feel much drive to play after I reached the level cap.

And BTW - I'm not sure if its just me, but I think you double posted the French trailer. The England one is replaced with the French one.

He did. But we should let his mistakes remain as a reminder that he is human and not a perfect spambot.

Also I thought they were making Future Warfare or whatever. Have they made any progress on that? Or is modern warfare 3 going to take its place?

Ironically the FPS phase of my life came and went between the hypes of MW2 and Black Ops, so I'm completely uninterested. My view on this game is that it'd be, as said by Mega64, "just another ****ing war game."

The thing about FPS (to me, especially now) is that it's all vanilla. Which is why I only really stick to Valve titles like TF2. If they add new stuff to keep players interested, instead of just a new campaign or something which could be added in DLC (also, paid DLC is another can of worms which I really despise unless it's DRM **** like music) then I won't even bother giving it a second glance. The first glance being me watching the teasers in this thread.

Personally I think Call of Duty should make games about other wars. Like the war in North Africa during WWII. Nobody ever cared about that yet it has some pretty interesting battles. And again future warfare. Battlefield 2142 was (obviously) a future war game and it was awesome. Though they could have put more emphasis on the future part be making the weapons laser-based.

A thousand times this. There should be more games regarding depictions of other historical battles in past wars. Modern Warfare's concept of hypothetical near-future world wars is cool but it gets dry after a while.
