Okay lately we have gotten a number of threads ranting just for the sake of ranting. So basicly this thread is for users who just want to let off some steam.
Rules:
1. Keep all rants under regular forum rules, no swearing and no innapropriate material.
2. You can not reply to anyone elses rant, this thread is only for read and then making your own rant.
Keep it friendly and we'll leave it open.
A rant thread? Oh boy...I might be using this a lot...
Ok first thing I want to rant/complain about is Pokemon's Dream World. And the pokemon global link.
Now before you jump to conclusions, I'm not bashing the Dream World or Global Link. I think they are awesome...but I can't seem to register an account on Global Link correctly. I have tried to open an account, and I did e-mail verification and all that, but everytime I sign in I get this annoying "your account is being processed, please check back later" message. This is preventing me from accessing Dream World..and I have heard that DW is a lot of fun. And because of this, no special DW eeveelutions for me with the special abilites ( which means no Ice Body Glaceon! D: )
And I tried contacting Nintendo's help center to see if they could give me some answers, but so far I haven't heard back from them. It's a hopeless situation for me, and I'm freaking fed up with this Global Link crap.
Second thing on my mind - why the heck is Youtube constantly changing the layout of their website? Seems like they find a new way to make watching videos worse with each passing month. It really gets annoying...why fix something that isn't broke?
Finally (for now at least) I want to quickly mention that my Spanish teacher has been the most unbearable, mean, cruel, arrogant teacher I have ever had. I pretty much suck in foreign language, and even a relatively easy subject such as Spanish comes as a major challenge to me. So, for someone like me who struggles in Spanish, it doesn't really help that my teacher is a complete jerk. He is always singling me out in front of class to answer his questions. And I can never understand what the heck he is even saying, because his questions are IN SPANISH! >.> And then when I'm in front of the class, without an answer to give him, I'm standing there looking like an idiot...and the worst part is, I'm a junior in high school, and with this year almost over I'll be a senior next year. I need at least two foreign language credits to graduate high school. I currently have none. So if I don't pass two spanish classes, I'm ruined. God I hate my life...
I have a big one.
How about nearly everyone on this site?
Im trying to change, but they dont care! Oh look its coteup, lets go torture him that TROLL!!
And while trying to change, people just annoy me over the limit. II lose my temper, say sorry i lost my temper, but they continue to annoy me about it!
And what are one of those annoyances?
HAVING SOMEONE STEAL YOUR IDEAS, NOT EVEN PUTING "AN IDEA FROM COTEUP" ON THE FRONT, AND MAKING YOU A PLAYER WITH A LEVEL2 RATTATA!
Seriously, is shiny the only person on this forum who respects me?
5 – alternateshadow300, LucarioMario, Shiny, Magmaster12, RK-9Rant 1 of 2: Thanks to Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion, Two worlds, and other RPG games, every time I go in a field or something and see a plant that sticks out from the tall grass I want to pick it and turn it into a potion.
Rant 2 of 2: Went to a shopping mall the other day. It was pretty big (~10 acres covered by its property)
Here's a bit of a synopsis of what they had: Clothes, pottery, clothes, disney (AKA clothes), clothes, QVC (AKA clothes), socks (Yes, they had a store just for socks...), shoes, clothes, and only one store had any trace of MEN'S clothes.
I know we're in a consumerist economy, but I didn't know this was an entirely female economy. I mean really is it that hard to put a gamestop or radio shack there? Even my mom was annoyed at the lack of good stores.
It's funny how a song from my mom's birthday card can say a lot about my attitude towards the world:
1 – Kirby-ChanRant thread huh? Wise thread chioce
okay first thing I wanna complain about is how Vevo has ads at the side. you go to click on the play button and tgen you are at another song you don't wanna hear.
next thing is the fact People get drunk and die. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GET DRUNK THEN KILL YOUR SELF?!?
Then those chep worthless toys at dollar general. Whoever thinks it is okay to kill a kids money at dollar general for those toys that don't work
Finally this fat girl in my class who doesn't know who to shut up. she is a tattletale> I hate her. Her name is Crystal and t he only good thing about her is the fact she is so gullable. But I hate it. She has a stupid voice, and watches shows a normal fith grader wouldn't. I will be over joyed if she doesn't pass sixth grade. If she does, Mrs.Morggan won't like her (math teacher in seventh grade. sixthgrade if you get axcellerated math and I might be their
)
I've got a bit of a personal rant that I just put on facebook, but I believe it fits here too
I think tonight marks the night of the worst summer I've ever had. At first, this may all carry into idiotic rambling, but it all ties together in the end, trust me. It all starts a week or two into summer. I go for my long overdue driver's test. It was a little gloomy and rainy that morning, but I really didn't think anything of it. Turns out I fail it without even getting onto the road portion. If that's not a big enough slap to the face, I fail it by one point. Just one point. Not good at all. I've yet to try again. It somewhat stems from there into about three parts. First part is I wasn't able to get a job after that. Right now, I'm babysitting 4 days a week for my sister. It's not bad by any means, and I get $50 a week, but it just isn't enough moneywise (which I'll get into later) and this isn't really something I can put on a resume. Second off, I haven't really been able to see my friends very often. Obviously due to the job, I don't need your "Welcome to life" comments. If was able to drive, I could see 'em after I left Heather's. It wouldn't be a problem at all, but it is. It's not life for me yet. I can't get around, and I don't see it as an actual job. At least at school I could see my friends, even if it is passing in the hallways. That brings me to my third problem that stems from this. I haven't been able to see Megan as often as I'd like to. Right now, it's at about every two weeks. Not to far into summer, she moved from Coloma to St. Joe because they sold their house and prepping a new one to go in somewhere else. See, if she was still in Coloma, I'd have no problem riding my bike there every day or so. I was actually getting ready to right before they moved. This obvious distance really sucks as well.
Now, there's one major problem that's not related to this incident at all. Financial aid for going to college. We've been scrambling around for the past six or seven weeks trying to get everything in place so I can get to Michigan State University. Went to orientation, scheduled my classes and everything. We get home after that and really start to work on getting everything ready for MSU. Couple of snags along the way. First off, can't do the Native American waiver. Started last year, the clan you're in has to be nationally recognized. The clan I share blood with isn't nationally recognized. Along with that, my mom tries to get approved for a Parent PLUS loan. No dice. Ups my federal loan money to about $9500 for the year, which isn't enough. It's about half. So we go for private loans elsewhere. We try a Sallie Mae loan. Mom doesn't get approved for that. My stepdad doesn't get approved for it. No one else can step up to the plate to cosign, not even my dad, though he did save up some money for my education. I give him much credit for that. Long story short, without that loan, I don't get to go to Michigan State University in the fall. As of right now, I don't know what I'm going to do. If I had gotten a part or full time job during the summer, I could have saved up a considerable amount of money more than I have right now. I'm not sure how many of you are actually going to read all of this, but I needed to say something. It's pretty much over. I can't do anything about it now. This has been on my mind all summer and it had to get out, now that I pretty much have a final verdict.
Your comments, my Visitor Messages, if you feel like leaving one.
Star Wars takes place in a galaxy that is so far ahead of our times that we couldn't even comprehend their power. They have artificial intelligence that quickly gain sentience (Why astromechs and such need mind wipes every so often) and beams of light that cut through anything, and are somehow contained by some mechanics George Lucas and his 9001 fans can't even think of, yet they STILL use analog controls like buttons and switches. Somebody please tell me (Even though you can't) how hard it is for a conglomerate race of intelligent beings who have grade-schoolers smarter than Stephen Hawking to digitize at least ONE of their control panels in a GIANT LASER THAT DESTROYS ENTIRE SOLAR SYSTEMS (Or has the capability to). But you know what really miffs me (GOD LITE NOW I'M SAYING THAT WORD I HATE THANKS TO YOU RAWRGH) the most? There wasn't a button, switch, slider, or anything like that in sight in the first three movies, then 16 years later everyone is in a high-tech stone age. Either this is to show how empires oppress people by taking away technology, or finishing a story in the 60's before you start it in the 90's is the stupidest idea ever.
