You guys know Greek/Roman Polytheistic mythology? Remember how the other 8 planets in the solar system are named after Roman gods?
Now, remember the freaky natural disasters going on. There've been a lot of them recently.
Now, why would I bring up two completely different things? Well, I've found a funny little similarity between them.
Now, I'll put up a little thing, and hopefully you'll get it.
Pluto: God of the Underworld and the dead; lives below the surface of the world.
Disaster I've associated: Icelandic Volcano eruption; cut off European trade routes
Neptune: God of the sea, horses, and Earthquakes.
Disaster I've associated: Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.
Jupiter: God of the Sky and weather.
Disaster I've associated: Tornado chain in Southern US
Mars: God of War
Disaster I've associated: All those stupid wars in the Middle East and Northern Africa
Those are the one's that have already happened. Now, If my prediction is right, and I'm pretty sure it isn't, There are some more disasters to come.
Saturn: God of Agriculture
Disaster: Some sort of Famine
Venus: Goddess of Love
Disaster: A love scandal; maybe something to do with the Royal Wedding...
Mercury: God of Communication and messaging
Disaster: Either a miscommunication between two nations or something bad with a Social Network
Uranus: God of the night sky
Disaster: I don't even want to think about it.
So, uh.... yeah... I think of some weird stuff. God help us if--
oh, wait.
You can easily relate any disaster or anything in this world to the ancient gods because ancient people created gods for basically everything. Thus I am not surprised. We are already facing a drought in the world due to global warming. There are already love scandals among celebrities and a lot of miscommunication between religions and countries. The fact that the ozone layer has got a hole can also refer to Uranus. Just think of anything in this world, and you will be able to relate it to a god.
2 – FreezeWarp, ShadowThe ancient people had gods for virtually anything to explain nature, phenomena, disasters, etc
I mean, the Aztec people had a god for corn. Some Indian tribes had a god of rain.
The ancient people used gods to explain celestail bodies, occuring events, and in the Aztec's case, corn.
They used them to explain things they had little knowledge of.
