Tons of rumors (more likely then NvC/Nintendo vs Capcom) have began that the Wii HD will be Nintendo's successor console:
More news here:
They're a bit late to try and compete with the 360 and PS3 in terms of graphics, don't you think?

I doubt it'll be called Wii HD of all things, but it will probably be announced/teased at this E3, if not announced at the next TGS or E3 2012.

"Tha Woi Aech-duee".
That alone gave me little hope of validity.
"Hay guise, jast cahm awn daoun ta mah noo weeb-blag sa Ah caen git latsa troiffic, sa Ah ceen bay poupulah :D"
That's all I heard, and that's all I can hear from this video. "Spahkulasheen" and "Rooumahs" are not uncommon from Nintendo, those secretive *******s. But they'll tell us the rumors, not some Aussie tween in a stripey beanie advertising his new blog.

You can buy HDMI cables for the Wii so it renders in 720/1080. The PS3 also has HDMI cables but I'm not sure about the 360.

You're debating whether or not you should get something that you don't even know exists.

I've heard that it's codename is Project Café, and it's going to have a controller with a 6-inch screen built-in to it, along with all the buttons you find on a DS. I've also heard it'll be in HD and play Blu-Rays.
And the Wii's component cable only renders 480p rather than 480i, that's the best the Wii can do. he Xbox 360 can display in 1080p with an HDMI cable, as can the PS3, but the PS3 has a more powerful graphics card so it has the potential to look better than the 360.
