I wanted to post this because it seems the battles with gym leaders have changed significantly this generation...in that they're hella tougher. No one has done this yet (that I know of), but for those of us that have gotten through a few gym leaders, which was your favorite/hardest battle and what was your battle like?

Oh, and obvious spoilers for people who don't want to know gym leader teams yet or anything like that. Just get through them before you post on here.

I'm just before the 8th gym so: Basically I found the first 4 gyms tough. 5th, 6th and 7th I've all found rather easy.

The only gyms I had trouble with were Cilan and Elesa. The rest were all cake for me thanks to my Gigalith and Scrafty.

The toughest one for me was the 5th Gym - Ground. Clay sweep half of my team with Krokorok but I then was able to finish his Pokemon off with my Emboar's Arm Thrust!

Protip: There's always at least one Pokemon you can get right around the area of the gym that has a type advantage of the leader.

To sum it up shortly, all of them were very easy for me.

All of them were pretty easy. It's sad how the last few gyms are (apparently) the easiest. GF I am disappoint.

I found all of them relatively easy. The one I had a little trouble on was Lenora.

I am done with four gym leaders already, so I guess I can have a feedback on the first half of them. I would say that Elesa was the hardest. Her Emolga were able to defeat both my Pignite and Simisage. Zebstrika defeated my Palpitoad. The battle between my Yamask and her Zebstrika took ages. It was surely a very hard battle.
The easiest gym leader so far was Burgh. Simisage, who had a type disadvantage, was able to knock out the first two, while Pignite defeated Leavanny.

After catching Cobalion, Drayden's gym was a cookie for me to eat. It wasn't exactly easy, but it was easy enough for me to breeze through. Deino (not Drayden's) was the easiest, Cobalion's sacred sword (Fighting-Type) sliced the Dragon-Dark type in half. Drayden's team was quite tough, but I just used Steel Head to make the dragons flinch.

The first few gyms were tough, but then my over-leveled Emboar owned the rest of 'em. Druddigon (or whatever his name is) was my only problem at the 8th gym.

I've gotten up to the 5ht gym so far. All of them were relatively easy. I only had trouble with Elesa and Burgh. Elesa kept on using Volt Switch on my Pokemon. It was annoying cause it did a lot of damage. I forgot why Burgh was hard, probably cause he gave all my Pokemon except Patrat, which sucked, a status effect.

This generation's gyms have been a little easier. They're not so easy that they aren't a challenge, but they're easy. o3o

I have to disagree with you on that, since in my opinion, I am facing more challenging gym leaders than in previous years.

Well, they see to be easier to me, and a lot of my Pokemona re udner leveled when battling them. :v

Just defeated the 7th gym. Easiest one ever, considering my Litwick was under leveled in all of the battles. I didn't have to use a Pokemon center to heal it, and I only used ethers to restore PP on it's Flame Burst.

All pretty much easy though I did notice a difference in difficulty , the only one I actually will say I had trouble on was Burgh. I had two pokemon then, one was weak to Bug. The easiest was either Clay, Skyla or Brycen. Clay was sweeped pretty much with just Servine, Skyla went down with an underleveled Tynamo, and Brycen went down with an underleveled Litwick.

After battling the 6th gym, I can easily say that the battles are tougher this generation. Elesa was definitely the strongest so far; her Emolga were powerful and kept on landing critical hits. Even Clay and Skyla weren't as strong as her.

I can say that I didn't have any problems with the gym leaders, they all were pretty easy in my opinion with the exception of a few irritating moments with Burgh.

Lenora was the toughest gym for me. Fricking Watchog swept my team with Hypnosis/Confuse Ray and Retaliate OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND FFFFFFFFFfffff.

After that though, I found most of the gyms to be a joke. I remember my Zebstrika single-handedly swept Skyla on the first attempt and I never even had to heal. And for every single gym battle, I was a good five or so levels below the Leader. .-.

Yeah, Lenora is annoying.
If that darn Watchog manages to put any Pokemon to sleep, you're done for.
I had to try about three or four times before I beat Lenora :<
