Pokémon Black and White → Who would have thought March was in the Autumn

So I started my copy of Pokemon Black this morning with my DS set to current time (March 6, 2011) and I watch the tutorial get to the main city you start in when I notice that the season it states as the game starts is Autumn. O_o

Is this normal? I could have sworn March was about green stuff...or even snow...but Autumn?

Help me understand this somebody.

January - Spring
February - Summer
March - Fall
April - Winter

And then it starts from Spring again in May. Basically it's so you don't have to wait to get certain things that only happen in one season.
