My first was a Shiny Trapinch I got through breeding.

I have yet to see a shiny in game, despite having over 9000 battles and encounters that could have a shiny and several hundred eggs produced and hatched with the masuda effect in place.

And yes, this thread has been made before.

My first shiny. I was on a cruise ship in Egypt. Sapphire, Victory Road. I was wandering around there aimlessly.

Boom, shiny Crobat. I thought it was a virus. I turned my GBSP off and didnt touch it for the next few days.

Shiny Graveler, Mt. Coronet. It used explosion ._.
I also found a blue Unown and a red Gyarados pink Mareep in Silver/Crystal.
In Sapphire, I found a light blue Shuppet on Mt. Pyre while Chimecho hunting.

My first shiny was a shiny Golbat in Emerald, which I caught and was excited about. In the same game, I encountered a shiny Graveler, which sadly, used Explosion. In Platinum, I encountered several shiny Pokémon: Pikachu, Staravia and Roselia.

Mine was Machop. It had great stats, the best ability for it AND was shiny.

Brings back memories.

I was fishing for Wailmer on Sapphire, but instead of a Wailmer I got a Magikarp. A Magikarp that was golden. I caught it, of course, and transferred it to Diamond, where it evolved, and then it was traded to Platinum, and then HG/SS came out and it was worthless. T_T

I also found a shiny on Five Island on FireRed. 'Twas a shiny Pidgeotto! I lost it a while ago, I have no idea where it went... The Pidgeotto, not the FireRed. :I

My first was Shiny Gloom Other than Gyrados and any event shiny. I lost it.

I've only encountered two non-event shinies. First was an Abra in Crystal, I knew it'd teleport so I actually contemplated using my Master Ball (which I never use anymore, only collect), but instead I took the risk of using a Quick Ball and got it! Wish it was a current gen game so it'd actually feel worthwhile raising.

Second was a shiny Mr. Mime in the Safari Zone of HeartGold. I knew every turn was precious, so I skipped the food and bait and focused on simply throwing Safari Balls. Threw one, it got out after one shake... and ran. ****ing Hell. Right after that, I encountered a regular Mr. Mime and caught it with just one ball. So tragic.

I've had a shiny ecounter in every pokemon game I own

In Diamond I found a shiny Sneasal.

In Ruby I found a shiny Clampearl.

In platinum I found a shiny Gastly.

In Heart Gold I found a shiny Caterpe

I wonder if I'll encounter one in my copy of Black.

i found a shiny wailmer.....in the battle frontier....

as if to laugh at me, my gf found a shiny ratatta and a shiny nidoran in the next week, she only caught the ratatta, the nidoran ran (safari)

Without cheating I saw a shiny Minun in the Battle Arcade in HG

Shiny Krabby in Crystal. I ran out of Poke Balls

wow so many people found shineys some who missed geting or overs geting it
still plz dont say red Gyrados reason is you get it in story mode hg/ss and some events are shiney

I've encountered exactly 0 shiny non-events and non-LoR-Gyarados.

I did the Masuda method without knowing and ended up with a shiny Togepi. He's now a level 100 Togekiss. :D
I got a shiny Raichu off of the GTS and my dad traded me a shiny Golbat. (and a shiny Rapidash in Crystal) My only other shinies are events/Lake of Rage Gyarados.

I came across a shiny krocrock in white,I was so lucky i was training a whimsicott at that point so i could catch it. I came across another shiny in the same version, a shuckle while hunting for a plasma sage!

Really cool shiny I found in Black. Ran into a shiny Boldore while making my way through Twist Mountain. Quite a find. It's been a while since I caught something so rare.

The only time i have found one was when I was playing Pokemon Fire Red and I found a wild shiny Geodude, it used self-distruct, I didnt catch it.

I just caught a shiny Alomomola looking for wild Jellicent.

Shiny Ekans and shiny Skiploom on Crystal (R.I.P) and Shiny Zubat on Pearl (never goint it evolve it, because shiny crobat is no longer green, it's pink). I miss my shiny Ekans :/
