My mom had recently found our old Office 97 CD. I had no office suite on my XP system, so I thought that I would try to install it. That didn't go well. Something was unable to get in the system registry.
I can't uninstall what happens to be on my computer...

Give System Restore a try. Pick a date before the installation.

System Restore worked! I thought I'd never have to use it, but it came in handy.
