Yeah, someone was out of candy, so they were hand out Pokemon cards |
Technically the first pokemon product I owned was Pokemon Silver because I saw it when me and my mom were out and I begged her for it for like a half hour :3
But the first thing I EVER EVER had of pokemon was Pokemon Red, my dad got it from my cousin and gave it to my older sister. She played it but she didn't like it (She never saw the show and just didn't get it) But I was a HUGE fan.
I do remember having a Big pokemon Puzzle but I don't know when I got it. It could have been before the games since I got it from a store up the block from where I live, but it may not have been.
I was living in Germany for awhile as a toddler and was in love with it liek today, I think it was a sticker; the ice cream man had this special ice cream in the shape of Pokemon heads and bubblegum eyes and they came with tons of stickers promoting movie 1 I think it is. Then cards, games etc;
That's easy for me to remember. I went through the Burger King drive-through, and got a kid's meal. Inside was one of those cheap Poke Balls that was recalled shortly afterwards, with a Golem spinny-top inside. I probably would still have it today with my rather large collection of Pokemon figures... but my friend's dog ate it. Which is scary, because that thing was big.

If the games doesn't count... back when red/green/blue was out, I lived near a japanese immigrants neighborhood, so I bought a mini Ivysaur plush thing with a keyholder...thing. It's kinda strage, I like it. It's from 1998. I have it until now, his expression is priceless. I have always thought that it must be uncomfortable for ivy and venu to carry a parasitic plant on its back...
