Oh...dear Lord in heaven, this'll be bloody awful...

...I'm working on it...but not much progress has been made...when it's done, I'm gonna look for someone willing to record this...

Oh well, it's my contribution to Metroid MPC's.

LOL you made the Mean Kitty Song awesome xD it's always fun to hear different versions of old Mario songs too, I'd have to say all of the videos here are pretty good, much better than what I could do probably o.0 and mtd there's probably an easier way for you to record it--feel free to point him in the right directions guys

I know that I can record with a capture device, or something like CamStudio.

Well guess what? I don't have that! YAY!!!

So, I have to ask around for someone who I can send the txt. files to so they can record a wmv. file to send back to me so I can upload it. It's complicated, but commonly done in the MPC community.

I refuse to do something so complicated though, so I record with a damn camera. It's not the quality of the camera I'm worried about, it's the way the music sounds.

Yeah, I had to have Cat record mine.

Step 1: Go to Windows Volume Control
Step 2: Click Options
Step 3: Click Properties
Step 4: Click Recording

Step 6: Click OK
Step 7: Check Wave Out Mix (again)
Step 8: Go online and download an unregistered version of Hypercam2
Step 9: Run the program you just downloaded
Step 10: Go to the tab AVI File
Step 11: Set the frame rate to 10 in both boxes
Step 12: Check Record Sound
Step 13: Go to the tab Sound
Step 14: Check Record Sound (again) EDIT: If one is checked, the other is checked automatically.
Step 15: Click 44100 Samples per sec.
Step 16: Go to the tab Screen Area
Step 17: Click Select Window
Step 18: Move your mouse around until a black border is around MPC
Step 19: Click
Step 20: Click Start Rec.
Step 21: When you are finished recording, press F2 on your keyboard
Step 22: Drag and drop the AVI file (in My Documents) into a video editor
Step 23: Synch up the audio and video
Step 24: Save it as a WMV
Step 25: Upload it to YouTube
Step 26: ...
Step 27: PROFIT!

That's how I made the vid I posted (minus the uploading to YouTube).

25 steps.

As opposed to...

1. Record the MPC with a camera.
2. Plug the camera into the computer.
3. Transfer the video into a video editer.
4. Render the video.
5. Upload it to YouTube.

That's almost five times as fast and not as complicated. Sure the quality may be a bit lower then I'd like, but I can deal with it.

oOOoh ohhh I see I didn't know it was that complex xD perhaps it would be easiest to have Cat do it or stick to the camera then, I've used something before called Fraps where you press F9 or something to make it start recording whatever's on your screen and then again to make it stop and it saves a .wmv for you--if I remember right the sound quality wasn't too bad, you'd probably have to pirate the full version though lol either way good luck :3

"Hypercam"

No. Just no.

Use this:
http://floatzel.net/mario/composerguide.htm
It's very old (look at the YouTube screenshots), but the first part still applies.

lol yah that's why I mentioned pirating a registered copy so that stupid thing wouldn't show up xD oh dear I bet mtd is probably going to be discouraged again LOL oh do you know if the steps the same in WMP 11?

Wow, Windows Media Encoder 9 is a great choice... For people who even know how to get it to record sound. Seriously, it couldn't record a SCREAMER! And, frankly, Kikia isn't as scary without the audio.

If you can't record sound, go buy a mini-pin headphone cable. (If this costs you more than a couple dollars, I have the right to scream "FAIL" at you.)

Recorded by ElectricPopTart18.

So, this is the Super Metroid song, Red Brinstar. I stuck closely to the Super Metroid version, but eventually I went in my own direction with it, so the instrumentation is different. It sounds more like a mix of the Super and Echoes version of this song.

Fiddled with MPC for a bit. Made two songs, damn if I wasn't so lazy I'd be making more. =\

Ski or Die arranged - old PC game that was merciless on the PC speaker, making it scream and shout to its fullest into producing electric guitar like music. This is the Halfpipe Snowboarding theme.

Donkey Kong 64 - Hideout Helm Online. Wonderful N64 game with great music everywhere, many themes stuck to me. This is one of my favorites.

Balloon303 those are amazing. Earthboooooound! <3 @ Yoshihazard

Here is my first (good) composition!

I got rid of for two reasons: 1. It was bad 2. I deleted my LP account. (Which was the channel that video was being held in)

I've recently been working on my first ever Mario Paint Composition, with the music as Karakusa Town from Pokemon Black/White. I'm almost done, so I'll be posting it soon. I'm surprised it came out as well as it did, now I just need to record it.

I wonder if anyone'll recognise this... This is my first theme that I've done by ear. Picking up the background track is really tricky :L (It's a bit quiet, sorry)
