PLACE YOUR BETS! Epic Mickey or Super Mario Sunshine?
It seems ol' Mickey is getting some hate from Mario fans. I'm still a bit confused, but so far, its seems Mickey is a Mario clone because of:
Double/Triple Jump. Paint/Thinner. Sploosh = Sleepin Phiraniha Plants.
What do you think? I find it stupid. There's some similarites, sure, but c'mon!

I definitely see the similarities, but I think both are equal and should be treated as such.

Sometimes, games draw influence over each other, huh?

Just because it has similar things doesn't mean the fans have a good excuse to compare the games and use it for flaws. I play neither the games so I can't say which I prefer.

Whereas SMS was a platformer with the inclusion of FLUDD, Epic Mickey is a platformer that takes advantage of the fact that cartoons are drawn. Mickey can manipulate his environment using paint to "draw" a new environment, and thinner to "erase" parts of the environment. Last time I checked, FLUDD only cleaned pollutants and allowed Mario to fly... somehow.

There are many games which are similar to each other, but that doesn't mean fans of one game can hate on the other due to that. Yes, there are similarities in Super Mario Sunshine and Epic Mickey, but the latter is certainly not just a plain rip-off.

So what if there are some similarities between them, it's not a rip-off of SMS. I think it just gives fanboys a reason to complain.....

I'm not really interested in Epic Mickey, but I kind of see this as stupid as well. Hating on this game is like hating on Sonic because of the fact he can jump on enemies much like Mario.
