Alright, this is going to be a quick review, so I won't go too far into it.


Let me just say, Kingdom Hearts is an amazing series, I have EVERY Kingdom Hearts game there ever is. Birth By Sleep is the newest addition to the franchise and let me just say you're in for a treat if you even haven't played KH.

Story:

Every KH game has an epic and great storyline, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep takes 10 years before the events of Kingdom Hearts 1. You get to learn the story about Terra, Aqua, and Ven. Terra, trying to escape the darkness and trying to conqure it. Ven, with absolutly no memory of his past and was an apprentice of Master Xeanort. And Aqua, the main hero of the story that tries to help both Ven and Terra through their problems and solve everything. Let me just say, I finished KH:BBS. And, it's an excellent story from start to finish.

Graphics:

The graphics in Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is just as good looking as it was on the PS2, if not prettier. It made me soon forget I was playing a PSP, yeah. It's that good. The enviorments and character models look great. And, that disney feeling still works on this kind of system. It's absolutly beatiful and it's works incredibly well.

Gameplay:

The gameplay has you playing Terra, Aqua and Ven.

You go through these worlds:

Land of Depature
Enchanted Dominion
Dwarf WoodLands
Castle of Dreams
Mirage Arena (optinal)
Hollow Bastion
Disney Town
Olympic Colloseum
Deep Space
NeverLand
and, the most important
The KeyBlade Graveyard/The BadLands

Terra has incredible power, and decent magic, but is really slow.
Ven has great speed, decent attack and magic.
And Aqua, is the one with bad attack, great magic and great speed.
All of them are equally good, they are really good in their own ways.
It has that KH gameplay and in my opinion the best of the series.
And Zack makes his FF cameo into this game as well, in Olympic Colloseum. (no Cloud in this one, folks)
There's also the Command Board, Rumble Racing (my fav), and some other fun minigames like the Ice Cream rythem game.

Sound:

Kingdom Hearts hits an home-run here. The music is FANTASTIC! Dearly Beloved, Vanitas's Lingering Sentiment, and many more. Are excellent. Not, only that. They got Jesse McCartney (the guy who voiced Roxas in Kingdom Hearts 2) to be able to voice Ven in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. This is one of the reasons why I love Kingdom Hearts so much.

Final Verdict:

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is an amazing joy ride. The enviorments are great, the controls are both simple and great. The characters are memorable and will be like old friends in the end. And an impressive story Square Enix has really done right. If you're looking for the full KH experince, look no further. It's the best of the franchise.
