This is the 2010 October Sprite Contest.
This will be a month long contest, consisting of four categories and a bonus category.
Each category will last a week, except for the bonus category.
This contest has 8 spots open. First come, first serve.
If you enter and don't compete/drop out, you will be banned from the next contest.

Ningamer is no longer in the contest. Apparently, he can't sprite. =/ (Why even join the contest?)
Seriously... Tropius isn't the best spriter in the world, but I'm surprised how hard he's at least trying.
Even when his PokeBalls are considered crap to other spriters, I still like them.

Categories for the Contest
Category One -
Generation starter set of PokeBalls (ex: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle)
Examples used are Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon
All submissions must be posted in thread by October 8. Any later submissions will not be accepted.
Category Two -
Two fusions (open*) with back sprites
Examples used is a Miltank+Roserade fusion and Sandshrew+Quilava fusion (Background is optional.)
All submissions must be posted in thread by October 12. Any later submissions will not be accepted.
* Open is any two of your choice.
Category Three -
Male and Female cosplay trainers ("couple" Pokemon; ex: Plusle/Minun)
Example used is Gallade and Gardevoir with the Couple sprite. You do not have to use the Couple sprite or any trainer sprite that are related, ex, the male and female Ace Trainers.
All submissions must be posted in thread by October 18. Any later submissions will not be accepted.
Category Four -
Final generation set of Chaos (ex: Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise)
Examples used are the Regis. Not the final starter set, but since we're limited, all I could do.
All submissions must be posted in thread by October 25. Any later submissions will not be accepted.
Bonus Category
Dress up/recolor a Pokemon in a Halloween costume or Halloween themed.
Examples used are Seedot, Nuzleaf and Shiftry zombies. You don't have to add a background.
All submissions are due a week after Category Four is completed. Since this is a difficult category, you will have all of the contest time to create. You only have to submit one. This category is OPTIONAL.

I'm ohnestly more proud with this one. It's Cacneblu.
And Munchbat! A very hungry bat!
Category 3:
I used the cheerleader from Black and White and made them fossilised. I like the Cranidos one XD

I decided to go Classic on this one
Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur.
(pff, you never said I couldn't use the evolutions of the starters. Like underlining the word magically implies that they have to be basic. Could it kill you to respect a little creativit-- oh, wait, yeah, it would)

You know, I find it sort of weird that we get more points for understanding your vague descriptions than actually making good sprites.
Well, here ya go. These are my first Chao sprites so be nic-PPPPPKKFFF did I just ask Jason...? oh, never mind.

In case you couldn't guess, it's Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile! Three notes...
I'm disappointed by Cyndaquil, but I can't do any better...
And does Totoball really count as a Pokéball? I used the Pokéball as a base, but It's kinda got lost.
These are my first "Pokéball" sprites.
EDIT: Uploaded the wrong Cyndaquil...

Sorry they're big, but Paint screwd up and I can't make them smaller...
Also, Pikachu counts, since he was the starter in Yellow, right?

CATEGORY 1: STARTER POKEBALLS
Well I haven't done a ton of Pokeballs, but I think these ones came out all right! The Sinnoh starters don't have a ton of features, but I used all that I could!
CATEGORY 2: POKEMON FUSIONS
They came out nice enough, I really prefer Gardevoir2 over Exegguton.
CATEGORY 3: COSPLAY TRAINERS
Huh boy. This one was a little tough, but it was fun nonetheless!

Wow, I've got some competition here. Most of the spriters I've seen on Bulbagarden sucked. 
Kanto starters.
ROUND 2:
Houndour + Cyndaquil and Squirtle + Shedinja.
ROUND 3:
Dialga and Palkia Rocket Grunts.
