Pokémon Black and White → Gen IV Compatibility

I was just wonder before I desided to commit to buying a ENG copy of B&W, how Is Gen IV game compatible with Gen V?

Basically, you get a Key Item after you get the National Dex that lets you send over Pokemon from any Gen. 4 game. The Pokemon can't know any HM moves or be holding an item, though, and you can't send the Pokemon back.

Thank you very much. Shame about not being able to hold an item though.

I'd also assume since that is the case the Dragon Orbs, Plates and other items that used exclusively on certain pokemon (ie Stick, Lucky Punch) are given to you at some point in the game

Yeah, you should be able to get the items in B/W.

I think its mostly for stuff like the Odd Keystone which probably have no purpose in the game due to their limited use in D/P/Pt.

Kinda like how the Poke Doll and Rage Candy Bar are made Key Items in HG and SS to prevent them from being traded to D/P/Pt.

Already locked, but i'd like to say that the Pokéshifter is actually a building in an area you can't get to until you beat the main story, and yes, you get all 3 dragon orbs at one time in one point after the main story.
