Hey guys, since my friend Charizard98 left me to do this, I shall now take care of the reviews, so here we go!
Plot:
The story of Majora's Mask takes place between Ocarina of Time and the Orignal Legend of Zelda. Majora's Mask takes place in the area of Termina where Link comes in to save it from THE MOON! You are on your horse in the land of Hyrule in a unknown forest they never really explain and all of a sudden the masked boy comes and steals your horse and you chase after the Masked Kid and goes through inside a tree and falls which you turn into Deku Link from the Masked Kid's powers. But, the Masked Kid leaves the brother's sister behind (as like in Ocarina of Time, you get a fairy compainion). When you continue you on, you're in Termina and thus your journey begins.
9.0/10
Gameplay:
The gameplay is a lot like the Ocarina of Time. That is, if you put on a time limit, add a crap load of masks, and a much more bigger town. You got yourself a hugh breath of fresh air compared to Ocarina of Time. The enviorments are very hugh like the original and you get some new items and the controls just work like the original. This game is a lot harder then Ocarina of Time though, but when your focusing on story. The game can be really easy. Every area in this game has hard and complicated puzzles that can really take you a while if you have no idea what to do. Although, one problem I can find with Majora's Mask is that sometimes your aiming on using arrows can maybe feel a bit clunky. The other masks can change the gameplay as well with their special abilites. Also, you have a rupee deposit area for when you go back in time you can go back to your rupees. Now, one flaw with that is HOW THE F*** CAN YOU GET RUPEES BACK WHEN YOU GO BACK IN TIME?! 0_o Although, once you finish a dungeon boss like the Masked jungle guy or the Masked bull, you feel so rewarded once you finished the boss which could make it really fun. Epona also comes back in this game as well.
9.0/10
Graphics:
The graphics are a lot similar to those of Ocarina of Time. However, when you compare the towns the graphics are actually better on Majora's Mask, but only slightly better.
8.5/10
Final Verdict:
I won't say Majora's Mask is the hardest game I've ever played. But, if you want a story game you'll be playing weeks on end, then you'll SPEND HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS TRYING TO BEAT MAJORA'S MASK! Therefore, making it one of the best N64 games I've ever played.

That is, if you put on a time limit, add a crap load of masks, and a much more bigger town. The environments are actually smaller in Majora's Mask than they are in OoT. The content IN each environment is, however, much greater. You got yourself a hugh breath of fresh air compared to Ocarina of Time. The enviorments are very hugh like the original and you get some new items and the controls just work like the original. This game is a lot harder then Ocarina of Time though, but when your focusing on story. "But when you're focusing on story" and then you cut off. |: The game can be really easy. Every area in this game has hard and complicated puzzles that can really take you a while if you have no idea what to do. Although, one problem I can find with Majora's Mask is that sometimes your aiming on using arrows can maybe feel a bit clunky. There's two methods of aiming your arrows: Manually with the analog stick, or with Z-Targeting. Uhh... since the N64 controller didn't have dual analog, you'd actually EXPECT the FPS scheme to be clunky. Case in point, Jet Force Gemini was a TPS, and in Goldeneye Bond's aim moves when you turn. 0_o ... The banker stamps you with information regarding your bank account. You go up to him and he reads off your stamp and accesses your bank account. Although, once you finish a dungeon boss like the Masked jungle guy or the Masked bull, you feel so rewarded once you finished the boss which could make it really fun. Epona also comes back in this game as well. Well, at least here you gave -some- reason as to why you give it x score.9.0/10 Graphics: The graphics are a lot similar to those of Ocarina of Time. However, when you compare the towns the graphics are actually better on Majora's Mask, but only slightly better. ...and that's it? :/ 8.5/10 Final Verdict: I won't say Majora's Mask is the hardest game I've ever played. Therefore, making it one of the best N64 games I've ever played. This isn't really the best summary of your overall review. As a matter of fact this is new information not introduced to readers until the very end of the review. You wouldn't happen to be taking your review methods from Charizard98 would you? 9.0/10 |
