Serebii doesn't post unconfirmed news, but Serebii himself stated that these moves are still unconfirmed, although he confirmed that the source was truthful in previous occasions.
So, this is Tsutarja's two evolutions:

Next is Pokabu's evolutions:

At last, Mijumaru's evolutions:

No extra information were revealed, but the pictures themselves are quite valuable! Honestly, all the evolutions look cool and unique.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tsutaja and Mijumaru middle stages are clearly edits from the anime scetches, the rest are most likely fake, and I can tell they most likely are, seriously, they look more like Spectrobes than Pokemon, not to mention that the Mijumaru mid stage is blue and light blue, not blue and white like Mijumaru is.
The (most likely fake) Pokabu evolutions are fake, and by their wrestler look, they could be part fighting type like Blaziken and Infernape before them (sheesh, I was expecting a Fire/Ground type for the Pokabu evolutions)
The Tsutaja final evolution actually looks good, and a LOT more snake like than what Tsutajas description says, if it is real, I will most likely use it on my team, though it does look pretty sinister.....
Mijumaru however...... WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO OUR ADORABLE LITTLE SEA OTTER!? This is a Sea Lion, not a Sea Otter, it looks more like Ryzadrake from Spectrobes 2 without the wings than Mijumaru, they completely killed Mijumaru, I really hope this one is fake, beause it looks more like a Pokemon of it's own than a Mijumaru evolution.....
Mijumaru is the only one that retains any trace of cute as it evolves. I can't say I'm too fond of any of the final forms, but that's just how it is.
I already knew I was taking mijumaru. Now I also know I will be evolving it once and no further, just as I did with my quilava.
Pokabu drew the short straw when it comes to evolved forms, it seems. If I had any urge to go with fire like I usually do, it's gone now. However, Tsutaaja's final form is decent. My guess is that the type pairings will be grass/dragon (for obvious reasons), fire/fighting (looks like a wrestler), and water/ground (because of the SAND dollars all over their bodies).
Mijimaru, the ugly little duckling that turned into a swan~!
Seriously though, his second evo looks badass, like some kinda otter samurai, and his 3 evo somewhat reminds me of a thinner swampert...WITH BATTLE ARMOR. If it was some kinda samurai otter then I guess I can see wear the fighting/water thing came from. Looking good lil ice cream head dood. =w=
I don't know why, but I'm feeling that some of them are fake or edited.
In any matter, Pokabu's evolutions are just... a slight disappointment. The middle evolution looks like a fat version of Pokabu standing on two legs. The last evolution looks kinda better, but I really don't want it to be Fire/Fighting. We got enough of those already :/
Tsutaja's evolutions are just awesome, especially the final evolution. It looks like a wickedly powerful snake now.
Mijmuaru's evolutions are also amazing, but not as much as Tsutaja's. Although they don't seem like sea otters anymore, they still look pretty cool. I'm not really sure if their rumoured typing (Water/Fighting) is true now, since they don't look like that.
What the devil happened to Mijumaru? It went from sea otter to quadrupedal thing. Tsutaaja's final evolution looks the best of the three, actually, as Pokeabu's looks like Magmortar and Rhyperior had a baby. Hrm I do not much care for most of these Pokemon right now, but if they are real I hope I grow to like them.
EDIT: Oh thank god Nin!

Sorry to say this, guys, but the creator has confessed that they're fake. Still, this means that Game Freak may impress us more with their official ones!
|
Lawk thwead?
Anways, i'm glad these are fake. I HATED THEM. Okay not that much, but there were just weird to me. Wotter, eh, you're fake evos are okay. Baycon, Baycon, Baycon, Baycon. What were these guys somking when they made this... this THING! Smugleaf, again, you're with Wotter.
Pokéxperto, a Spanish Pokémon website, is saying that the starters are 100% real. I kinda don't want those to be the actual evolutions, since I was expecting more. That's not to say that they are completely bad. They're just a bit disappointing, in my opinion. (Looks like we're not getting a Water/Fighting evolution for Mijumaru, after all >_>)

In case no one noticed, Serebii already added the evolutions to the list of Generation V Pokémon. I guess that means they are confirmed to be real.
I'm pretty sure that picture that Mag posted is fake, for three reasons:
1. Why would someone just be playing it in front of their computer over two weeks before release?
2. The edges of the screen are a lot more crisp than anything else in the photo.
3. A blogger stated that Pokabu had a high HP stat. 137HP at level 50 ISN'T high.
Tsutaaja! What happened to you!? ;~;
While I admit the second evo is fine, but...why...WHY DID IT'S LIMBS DISAPPEAR!?
Nonetheless, I'm still picking Tsutaaja, but...I'm a little upset over how it came out. I can live with it, but...I was expecting more out of Tsutaaja's final evo. 3:
|
Well then...why did it have limbs in the first place? o.o
|
Wow... Is it wrong to just hate these evolutions? They've lost their touch to impress me. For me, they've changed too much. However, my favorite would be the final Grass evolution. I'm curious if there's a dual-type to it. The Fire Pokemon change too much and remind me of samurai. The otter Pokemon... o_O No comment.

Holy crap, if the pig is Fire type again, I shall kill someone. Ground, yes. Grass better be paired with Dragon, because I could kick butt with Draco Meteor AND Frenzy Plant

You cannot trust ANYONE with the name "Anonymous", I have encountered MANY people claim that they made a certain existing Pokemon, I've met someone who claims that he created Scott from Emerald, even though Sugimori created Scott, (his name just happens to be Scott, as well as looking like him) he also claimed that he created Lucario, also created by Sugimori, and said that Lucario was Mewtwo's son, and this was THREE MONTHS after Diamond and Pearl were released in the states even! It's pretty obvious that he never played past Maylene, or even went to Iron Island, else that would explain RIOLU, I have no excust that this just HAS to be Scott, I know where Scott lives, and I CAN just walk over there from here and slap him in the face, because he lives only a mile from where I live......
Though I may be wrong, for all we know, this guy could be working for Nintendo in secret and has told us a big fat lie in order to hide their existence.....
Just how many times do I have to link to this: http://pokebeach.com/2010/09/isshu-s...d-blue-yanappu
And the site Pokebeach links to: http://pokexperto.net/index2.php?sub..._from=&ucat=2& Which has pictures of them that are larger and clearer than the ones on Serebii or Pokebeach, they're not just simply just cut and pasted and enlarged from the picture, else they would have clear distortion around them
Not to mention THIS quote from PokeExperto, translated:

The website has posted information from this special source before and it has turned out to be true, so I had reason to believe Melkor was telling the truth. In conferring with him today, I was able to see some of the material the source had given him, including a sprite of Tsutaaja's final evolution (which matches the photo) and a sprite of another Pokemon. To test if the source was giving Melkor genuine images and to test if Melkor was telling me the truth, I asked him to describe the appearance of the covered-up Pokemon from the Pokemon Musical screenshot on the official Black and White website; he gave me a very specific description on the spot, and I'll just say one word: eyebrows. If the description he gave me is true, his source and the starters below will be validated. Regardless, you obviously have the choice to believe the legitimacy of these evolutions or not; after all, nothing is totally official until Nintendo reveals them.

| I've heard that it's based off a large otter. Can't really elaborate on that right now, but I'll do some digging. |
I have a question: Who cares if they're real or not? It's not like there's money riding on it, is there? If they're fake, it's not like the world will end. It's a little annoying how far some people will go to defend what's right and wrong. I don't care if they're real or fake, it's just nice to see something. Even if they are fake, it proves how far a devoted fan is willing to go to predict the evolution of Pokemon.

I then did some research and discovered that it is NOT a Sea Lion, but a Giant Otter, an animal that lives in South America, you can read about them here on Wikipedia.....

IMHO
Tsutaji's Evolution: It looks good, I like them, though I am not a big fan of Tsutaji its self.
Pokabu's Evolution: .... wtf. (thats all I have to say.)
Mijumaru's Evolution: Though is my favorite Pokemon in the fifth generation so far, I am a little disappointed. The middle stage should be white, it looks much better that way, and the final form isn't too bad, but not a favorite.
I think they are fake for these reasons:
In generation 3, the Pokemon took on complicated designs, in Generation 4 the Pokemon were more simplistic in their design, but not still as simplistic as the first two generations. So far the the Pokemon in Generation 5 have been on the simplistic design except for the legendaries, so while these could be fake, they could be real too.
Also Mijumaru's final evolution looks nothing like the original. All of the other starters, form all the other generations have retained something from their base forms, whether it be the colors or the general shape, The final evolution of Miju doesn't even keep the light blue that made up most of its base form, and the white only get a small patch. Then you have stance. There has only been two Starters who has gone from standing on four legs to standing on two, and that was Mudkip and Cyndaquil. All the others started out on two legs and ended up on two legs, or started out on four and ended up on four. In fact out of the 493 Pokemon of generations 1-4, only 8 go through this dramatic change, and they are Mareep, Trapinch, Ratrata, Nidoran (male and female) Slowpoke, and the two mentioned starters.
According to this new art, two of the three starters go through this change which is hard for me to believe. But only time will tell. SO I'll just sit and muse over my anticipation, I am so excited for the week of September 12-18, two great games coming out in the same week.(Halo Reach) I can hardly wait.
Also note that Bulbapedia has taken the safe road and stated these as possible evolutions which is something I think would be a wise idea to do here. http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wik...and_White_info
I picked a bad weekend to be away from the internet.
Personally, I like all three evolutions, and hope they're real. Tsutaaja's is really good, regal looking, I hope it's Grass-Dragon. Pokabu's is good, but I hope it's not Fire-Fighting because we have too many of those, so either Fire-Ground or just Fire. Mijimaru's is nothing like the first one, but I like it, it's badass.
From what I've read, there seems to be a lot of evidence that these are real and that they're fake. All I can say is that if they are fake, Gamefreak had better come up with something better than these, or else I'll be disappointed.
I like Tsutaja's and Mijumaru's evolution. Especially Tsutaja's final evolution looks cool and it could be part dragon type. Mijumaru's final evolution looks strange when I first saw it, but then I got used of it. Pokabu's evolution looks alright, but I didn't like it as much as the other two starters. Then again, I didn't really like Pokabu much.

in some ways
Okay, my opinon has changed again. I will probably get Smugleaf, restart, and get Wotter.(I can't spell jap. words. DEAL WITH IT) Wotter's final evo could have a bit of work on, but Smugleaf's are really good. Pokabu's final evo is good, but he's most likley Fire/Fighting, so no. I AM HERE BY BOYCOTTING ALL FIRE/FIGHTING TYPE STARTERS UNTIL GAMEFREAK MAKES SOMETHING BETTER!
After looking at the final water starter's evolution, I had the impression that it might be Water/Dragon due to some characteristics in its face. I hope not, as I can also imagine that it could be partially fighting with its spear on its horn.
I also hope like all of you guys not to have Fire/Fighting. It won't be bad it is only fire.
My opinion changes again... Tsutaja. Second evo is cool. I will not give an everstone at that point if Tsutaja's final evo's secondary types are: Dragon, Ghost or maybe some other ones. But the thing is, it will probaly be poison, because snakes and venom thing. If it is, I shall punch my self.
Pokabu second evo looks kinda Fire/Fighting which is annoying because we have enough of them, and his final evo looks pure fire.. But if nintendo have another fire/fighting, my brother says he is suing them. >.<
Mijumaru looks like a Water/Steel, because of the armour. It sounds about right, and if Tsutaja really doesn't appeal to me and it is this type, (I can't beleive im saying this but...) GO MIJUMARU!
The starter evolutions are real, it's been confirmed at long last, and by KEN SUGIMORI NO LESS!!!!!

In the end, we decided to have it evolve into something with a completely different appearance. Sugimori: Of course, we want to make the starters into Pokémon that remain with the player throughout the game, so we hope to make them evolve into creatures that offer a surprise to the player. We always make an effort to throw in some twists and create third-stage evolutions that have an impact. Ohmura: There was also talk this time about dividing the three starters into Japanese, Western, and Chinese styles of design. Tsutaaja was based on Western design, and Pokabu was rooted in a Chinese style, so I was told, “Let’s make Mijumaru into a more Japanese-style design.” Someone even asked, “Can’t you make Mijumaru into a samurai?” [laughs] Everyone: [laughs] Sugimori: I worried about it for a while, and I eventually went to go see the sea otters at the aquarium. I happened to catch the sea lion show while I was there, and I became aware of the sea lion’s power. “Well, let’s try blending a sea otter and a sea lion,” I thought. I came up with the idea of making the shell on Mijumaru’s stomach into a sword (katana) and using it to fight, and that’s how I completed Mijumaru and its evolution.” |
